a couple of things...they've already paid him 15 mil...he's not just a 'CB'..he's one of the best cb that have come along since deon and might even be an all-around better CB than sanders...he instantly make them credible...and will be around 2-3 yrs from now when our fortunes change...this is not a riggins or abraham or a johnson or anyone else...this guy is heads and shoulders better than any player the Jets have ever had..better than klecko...better than martin or mcneil or walker or toon or powell maybe even brodway joe...you guys are insane...

So when we sign him, and in two years he holds out where will we be? Why do we want to make him the highest paid player in football?

If i could see the future like that, I would be spending my time buying lottery tickets and planning my retirement rather than posting here.

Our first pick in the draft has to be the best OL on the board or we are idiots. This offense looks bad right now, but the offensive line looks scary bad. Any success at all is going to have to start up front. Build a blocking foundation for the future.

it's a supposition based on past experience. to say there is no chance or little chance of it happening is simply ignoring past experience.

this is a very very good thing. i am actually more at ease with things right now than i have been in the past few years. it just feels like things are happening, even though really absolutely nothing is happening.

You got 12-16M per year to pay him? If so, keep him on your books while the Jets can sign some decent players that actually impact the game on a down to down basis

Im really pissed we let Bell go. He's the perfect stopgap option that comes cheap. Now its just another hole. RB im not too worried about I think Powell can replace Greene and I think we will end up drafting a RB or bringing one in through FA.

We lost 1 DE but Pouha was a NT and we can replace NT with Ellis and Harrison. With Devito gone I'd like to see Coples become the starter but we did lose depth at the position.

I'd like to see us bring back Slauson and draft a guard. Still hoping we decide to trade back and bring in Warmack if there is no one we are in love with at 9.

LB is just a mess for us right now. Our only legit starting LB is overpaid in Harris.

Still its way too many holes to fix in 1 offseason. Not that thats Idzik's fault, he has been put in a tough situation.

The Jets are going to stink next season. That's OK. If you didn't believe that before this week, what can you say? Idzik is the man with the plan. Look for cheap free agent stop gaps to fill the holes. Trade Revis. Build the team through the draft. Holmes,Sanchez and Harris will be easier to cut after 2013. Play as many young players as possible. Younger and cheaper. You won't see a handful of the players making the majority of the money anymore. The Jets are a 14-18 team the last 2 years. Time for a major overhaul. Trade Revis.

i don't know where to begin with you...Revis doesn't impact the game on a down to down basis? you watch Jet games right?...so you want decent players but not elite...ok...and haven't they alr paid him 16 mil a yr...twice...the Jets got the money...your game day concession/ticket prices ain't going down cause they 'saved' money by not signing Revis.

Jets once again will be a 8-8 or worse team we will be stuck in the middle of the pack blowing chunks until sanchez shapes up or leaves town

I'm expecting big(ger) things from the D-Line this year. They came on towards the end, so hopefully whoever we pick at #9 makes a direct impact. IMO, I think the outcome of the season is dependent upon the QB play; Sanchez, Garrard, whomever it is.

Did you watch the AFCCG against the Colts? How well did our 2nd and 3rd CBs do? Teams are running 4 5 WR sets now, they can neutralize Revis, he can't cover everyone. I like Revis, but I'm not paying him 16M / yr even if fully healthy.

I want elite players too, but I would enjoy an elite QB and pass-rusher much more

The last time he held out was three years ago. That was partly Tanny's fault, and Tanny is gone. No one said there is no chance of it happening again. But to say it will happen again as a certainty is stupid.
