Get a grip. He doesn't want to field media calls all day. Nothing is imminent.

After his call with Bills GM Buddy Nix I'm thinking Dominick may be weary of using the phone to talk deals. The more tried and true NFL method is the stripper gram.

    They are handling this perfectly.

As you pointed out...(Rvis agents beat you to it) the market is going down.

Revis may yet remain a jet for less than 8m. Though for 8m, I'd deal him to Sf for 31 and 34 overall ( on the chart that equates to 13 overall).

You walk away drunk with 9,31'34,39....and no more headache.

There is no good answer here. The root of the problem is revis greed. He's not going to take a penny less than what he's making now. He's actually wants a raise coming off of a major injury. With that said, for simple head ache purposes and dealing with his demands every other year, I think the jets are resigned to trade him. This issue now is, it's almost become a joke how much money he is looking for. Teams are backing away quickly. while I believe he's going to be healthy and have a phenomenal season, he's not worth the hassle.

So now the jets down want him, he doesn't want to be a jet and other teams are coming to there senses and saying, we're not giving up 3 draft picks and paying him Peyton manning money, when in a year or so he will pull this bullshit with us(long term deal or not). I see him ending up back with the jets and being miserable and the jets being miserable they couldn't dump him, clear cap space and get picks.

. Ideally looking back now, what the jets should have done I guess, is some sort of Tom Brady deal. Lower his hit to the team, but extend him longer giving him more guaranteed money. Then again, that my not have worked. It seems to be shockingly important to revis to be the highest paid defensive player. I think from a business standpoint revis is as difficult as they come to deal with. Like I opened with, I guess there no good answer. Lol

Anyone else agree that if it happens it will only be after the deadline for season ticket payments this Spring?

Woody will want our money first, in order to prevent an even greater ticket exodus. Then again, PSL guys are locked-in, so it'd only be upper deck ticket holders.

Do we know that having Revis on the Jets with a constant trade threat is better for ticket sales than resolving the issue by trading him?

I'm just not sure that people who would be affected by a Revis trade aren't going to sit on their hands anyway until the situation is resolved.

Totally agree..thats why, and I know I might get hammered here, but Im not losing any sleep at all over the DT's we have lost or will lose...none.

Yeah...that had a decent run against the run but when it came to putting any pressure in the backfield, both Devito and Pouha couldnt find the QB with a map and GPS.

They were great against the run because thats where they stayed....at the line of scrimmage. Nice guys...but no problem here with both gone.

Oh..I agree..wasnt saying there was but if you are building towards that, only an insane team would tie up 12-16 million a year on a CB...even if we had cap space.

What pisses me off even more is that he feels insulted...the guy that would hold out from his own mothers dinner probably...is insulted. "Yeah yeah..but they should try to get as much money as they can"...blah blah blah. Tell that to Brady. Bullshit.

Get as much as you can and move on.
