Yeah from the link I posted. But you left off 1979 (pre-64 teams), Penn beat UNC in the second round. 9 over 1. UNC has now lost 10 times.
The 2nd rd was carolina's 1st game back then but it's completely dfferent than losing your first game today w/ the field being so much smaller. penn actually made the FF. I believe UNC has more 1 seeds than anyone but I am not sure. SU is pulling away, SH made it interesting for about 30 mins.
Right I know it was their first game after the bye, just saying they lost to a 9 seed as a 1 as well so that's 10 losses. SU wins. http://forums.theganggreen.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=37 vbetting for ACC and Big 12 tournaments
According to this, it's UNC having the most #1 seeds, with 13. http://www.collegesports-fans.com/ncaa-tournament/school-history/north-carolina-tar-heels.html

Well UNLV finally and I mean finally looked like a team that has 2 McDonald's AAs on their roster. Absolutely dismantled the same AFA team that took us to OT in Vegas and smashed us a few weeks ago. To be fair Michael Lyons AFA's best player was injured very early so that probably took the life out of the Zoomies.
yeah he only played a minute they had no chance after that. Lyons is the heart and soul of the team and he's also basically their entire offense. I was watching on CBS's sports network. Doug Gottlieb basically spent the whole game ripping on Bennett. Bennett had a monster game, too, but Gottlieb kept talking about how "erratic" he is (ignoring the nerve damage to his shoulder causing him to play limited minutes recently), how he doesn't play defense, how he can't shoot (completely false), and how he didn't belong on the all-MWC first team.
It was sad to see Lyons go down, I've always had a soft spot for the Falcons and while I'm happy we played well and advanced without him on the floor it kind of takes away from the win as I have no idea how much of a difference he makes in the game. I would have imagined Fitzgerald would have been a bigger factor. Gotlieb is funny, his brother used to coach at SDSU and he's a SoCal guy so he has a hard on for the Aztecs depsite the fact that they underachieved way more than UNLV did. UNLV underachieved because of immaturity and inexperience while SDSU returned their entire team and brought in their best recruiting class ever. Bennett doesn't play much defense but to say he can't shoot is assanine. I do wish Bennett would attack the hoop more than he does but he came from a program that gave him the freedom to shoot and Rice gives these guys the greenlight as well but he has some serious range for a big guy.
Villanova boosting their seeding a bit. A win over St. John's (not much of an impact) gives them a crack at Louisville.
After being predicted to finish 11th in the Big East and last year's debacle, really a good job by Jay Wright.
