Jets have targeted their replacement for Shonn Greene... and it's Raiders RB Mike Goodson, per sources. #nyj

Interesting. Haven't heard his name brought up but I really like the idea as a low cost, medium upside RB.

Wouldn't mind it at all. Still young, he can catch passes, and he'll come on the cheap. Decent size as well. There's no negative as long as the price is right.

Would seem like a good pickup. Looks like the type of move where Idzik is relying heavily on our scouting department.

He filled in some for McFadden last year I think. I remember him being a viable fantasy option at one point, that has to say something :)

I've heard about him, but in Madden.

Stats seem to be decent enough though.

he's great when healthy, but he's injury prone...in a timeshare this is fine but be ready for powell/mcknight to carry the load if he goes down.

he's also a notoriously slow healer.

I like it, only as long as we draft a back as well.

    Powell, Goodson, Draft Pick

    McKnight strictly KR

im not just saying this to sound optimistic, but this guy was good. he's extremely versatile as he basically caught as many passes as rushes last season. he was a serious fantasy football option so that means something. like we don't have anyone that anyone would CONSIDER playing in fantasy

i wouldnt say he was a SERIOUS fantasy option..he caught a couple of screen passes and took them to the house with open field.

either way I like the signing so long as we dont plan to be overly reliant on him.

If I am not mistaken, isn't he the guy that played behind Deangelo Williams and Stewart in Carolina at one point? If its the same guy Im thinking of, he definitely had some talent......was just behind two backs that were better than him.....

I could be mistaken, but stuck at work can't look it up at the moment.

Back at Texas A&M he was deemed the "poor man's Reggie Bush".

Looking on wiki he was taken in the 4th round by the Panthers in 2009 which means this is most likely true... im interested after looking at college highlights
