I'd take the risk on Braylon assuming he'd have to take the vets minimum.

This free agency will be like going to the dollar store with a five dollar bill. I'm just ready for the draft

I'd imagine a DeVito re-signing would be followed by a Pouha release or pay cut. Not going to give DeVito a sizeable contract to split time with Coples at one end spot. Probably means more 4 man fronts with DeVito and Wilkerson on the inside. DeVito or Ellis can man the nose in 3 man fronts

This is what I would think too... DeVito is younger and would likely be less expensive than Pouha. I'd imagine he could also play some NT in the 3-4

SS is certainly not one of the most important positions on the field. quite opposite really.
I'd like to have Landry back, but not at the expense of losing everyone else.
While building for 2015 is important, every team has low cost stop gaps.
We potentially have a lot of those types leaving due to the bad existing contracts, which is going to hurt this team in 2013 if not smart about it.

Although Pouha and DeVito are around the same height/weight , I don't think DeVito would make a good/serviceable 3-4 NT, typically they are alot bigger and stronger. That said DeVito is incredibly quick

We need to bring Braylon back. He loves being a Jet. That's the kind of guy you want in your locker room around the younger players. He'll be cheap and will make a great number 4 receiver (maybe 3 if Hill doesn't learn how to catch the ball).

Do we really need to bring back Devito? He's probably going to want a decent amount of money and we already have Coples on the roster.

I really like that we are going after Butler. Solid thoughts so far

Butler produced more pass rush than Pace in the last two years...ilike the fact he is still the right age and has upside....reminds me of Jarrett Johnson tbh

So far so good with the guys we're looking at. I haven't heard of this guy, so that means we're going after affordable people.

I still think we should be keeping Revis because of his initial cap hit and trading away Cro. If we do, we can clear up a lot of room and looking into bringing in Rodgers Cromartie.

DeVito is a luxury at this point. Give Coples all of the playing time needed. Him and Wilkerson had great chemistry together

Not really a luxury considering DL Depth is important and these guys getting nicked up...
More of a necessity. Last year was Devitos 1st year where he was hobbled and it showed.

When healthy, he's productive in his role.

Butler sounds like he'll be an average addition. not world breaking but solid.

and would it be possible to have rogers-cromartie and cromartie on this squad at the same time? that would be confusing...
