it absolutely is. I have been disappointed w/ UL in the reg season but I still think they are one of the best teams and have a great chance to win it all but I don't think they have played as well as they can too often.
I'm not picking on you here, I just dont understand what you see as disapointing. 25-5, with losses against #5 Duke, #6 Syracuse, @ Villanova, @ Georgetown, and @25 Notre Dame in 5 OT. Sure, you can question the quality of Syracuse's "elite" status, but none of those are "bad" losses. Is it something on the court that you don't like? Surely you think they are well coached?
I just haven't been impressed when watching them, I know they have the talent and I know they have the coaching. I expected more.
It's time for the greatest rivalry in American sports to resume tomorrow night, Carolina is playing really well so if duke can go into Chapen Hill and steal a win I might actually think they are for real as far as making a FF run. I am still far from convinced on Ryan Kelly, he had a great game vs. Miami but Miami has been playing poorly and they neeed by ar the best game Kelly will ever play to squeak by them at home. We keep hearing how duke is indefeated w/ Kelly in the lineup but they haven't played a road game w/o him. They are undefeated w/o him in home/neutral site games too. Interesting #s in the rivalry since Roy went back to Carolina. duke usually wins the first game and Carolina usually wins the 2nd. Putting aside sweeps in 2004(duke), 2007(UNC), 2009(UNC) and 2010(duke) every other year has gone duke wins first Carolina the rematch regardless of location of the game. This generally shows Carolina gets better as the season progresses while duke regresses. duke is a good team, are they FF/title contender good? I'm not sure(I hope not). I think Carolina is at best a sweet 16 team and probably a 2nd rd(what they call the 3rd rd now) exit but we'll see.
I think Carolina is playing like a Sweet 16 team but obviously matchups will determine where they go. I think they are a 5/6 seed but maybe they'll go higher than that. I don't see them any lower. Maybe this weekend I'll do my bracketology although I'm going to try to go to the WCC Tourney whih doesn't play on Sunday. They started yesterday and Gonzaga has a double bye into tomorrow's games. Today is Loyola Marymount vs Santa Clara and then BYU vs San Diego. Gonzaga will play the early game tomorrow which is at 9 for you East Coast schlubs and on ESPN 2. I probably won't go as they charge more for their semi finals than the PAC 12 does for theirs. I guess that's what happens when your conference is comprised of nothing but rich Catholic and Mormon schools. The Semi's for the PAC 12 are actually fairly resonable and it appears that the WAC only sells theirs as a full session which is stupid stupid stupid.
I saw people posting about this on another forum. re: Duke/UNC Duke is good enough to make a deep run but we've seen this before, where they are one of the top teams during the regular season and have an early exit. So who knows. They could go out in the 2nd round or they could make the final four. I do think they'll make the Sweet 16 at a minimum. I wouldn't be surprised if UNC makes the sweet 16. I don't think they'll make the FF.

I found something from before the first UNC/Duke game, regarding his condition. I checked twitter and there are some tweets referencing what Roy Williams said. WRALSportsFan @WRALSportsFan #UNC's James Michael McAdoo did nothing in practice yesterday RT @kenmedlin: Roy says JMM has a "bulging disc or degenerative disc or both" Kelly Robinson @MachoMan336 RT @UNC_Basketball: James Michael McAdoo did not practice yesterday. PJ Hairston shot around with team and is expected to practice today. Ken Medlin @kenmedlin Roy Williams concerned about James Michael McAdoo - says he did nothing in practice yesterday (back issue) http://www.bluevsblue.com/2013/3/8/...-misses-practice-and-shootaround-bulging-disk
We are playing our best ball of the season, we finally have Moser at full strength and then Bennett develops some rare shoulder injury without a cure. He'll be fine but apparently it is very painful. We have smashed Nevada and Wyoming, beat both SDSU and CSU and stole a win from Boise. It will depend on matchups for us. We are very young 2 Freshman (Bennett and Reinhardt) in the SL and our top role players are Birch (who played 9 games as a Freshman) Goodman and Cook who are both True Freshman, Bryce Dejean-Jones (who played a handful of games at USC) the only guys with experience are Moser, Marshall and Q Thomas. I think expectations were high because Kentucky won a title with mostly Freshman bt the reality is at times we've played like a very young team. I think if we play a team that can capitalize on our turnovers as we will have a lot and can slow us down so we can't get out and push the pace we could lose to anybody. Right now Lunardi has us playing LaTech who I think we would beat.
got to get this back to around 10 by the 10 min mark, they have come out ok in the 2nd half, a couple of BS calls in favor of Plumlee have hurt leading to their last 5 pts
Carolina has played awful Curry has been unbelievable but the officiating has been brutally bad in favor of duke as it usually is. It should be closer to a 10 pt deficit than 20.
