The bubble is really weak this year, which helps. Beating G'town would give them 3 wins over top 5 teams. In a year like this that very well could be enough.

I never said the BE was weak in the past, just that it wasnt' as strong as the media led us to believe b/c of the weak bottom half.

Did I mention that their best out-of-conferece win is against Vanderbilt?

McAdoo and Bullock average 30 mpg or higher.

Curry and Kelly don't play too much.

The guy who does play too much is Plumlee, because Kryzewski evidently doesn't trust his backup big men.

Last year, the only overused guy was Rivers.

It's not about averaging 30 MPG, the man missed 2 months and immediately he is playing over 30 mins. K never develops his bench.

Plumlee has played under 30 mins just 5 times this season, he has played 40 minutes 4 times.

McAdoo has played under 30 minutes 10 times, 38 minutes is his season high and that was in an OT gmae.

Bullock has played less than 30 mins 11 times and only played 40 mins in an OT game.

Curry has been playing hurt all year and still averages more than McAdoo and Bullock as far as minutes. It's why K's teams break down late in seasons(another reason why) and why Roy's teams get better.

I used to know a big time gambler and that was something he always would say although he also wasn't a huge Roy Williams fan either he hates K.

In the OOC it didn't seem as bad as most of their huge blowouts most of their starters only played 25 or so minutes.

I was watching fgcu/north florida in the atlantic sun tournament. they claimed at the end that gulf coast would face the winner of the 8:30 mercer/lipscomb game. Obviously not true. Mercer is the 1 seed and gulf coast the 2. Funny how the announcers don't even check their info.

Villanova leading Georgetown in the second half. If they hold on, this win should be enough to get them in.

Despite what Hackett says, I'm pretty sure 'Nova is maybe a step above the bubble and in the tourney.

Great win. Team has a lot of guts and plays with a ton of effort.

Not taking anything away fromt he win, but I don't see how a 19-13 team (assuming they lose in the first round of the BET) makes the tournament playing in a conference that will not have a 1-seed in the tournament.

I find it amusing that Villanova has more wins against top 5 ranked teams than Gonzaga has GAMES PLAYED against top 25 rabked teams.

The Big East may not end up with a 1 seed, but they're going to have several 2-4 seeds.

    Strong conference.

Congrats 'Nova fans, I think you are in but win a game or 2 in the BET just to be sure.

The Heels are playing excellent basketball, that was not an easy matchup last night and they went into a tough building and rolled Maryland. This is a fun team, reminding me a little of '06. I don't expect a FF or anything but it has been a great retooling year.

Hopefully they can get the split w/ duke, duke usually wins the first matchup and Carolina usually wins the 2nd so let's hope that trend continues though w/ Carolina playing 3 games in 6(7) days and the emotional fatigue of senior night I'm not sure how they can win:lol:

I need to amend my earier statement:

I find it amusing that Villanova has as many wins against top 5 ranked teams than Gonzaga has GAMES PLAYED against top 25 ranked teams.

top 5 in name only w/ most of them thanks to BE bias and beating up the weak bottom half. I think Gu was legitimately playing like a top 5 team so that's a big win. SU is nowhere near a top 5 team even though they were when they beat them, UL I think ultimately will be a top 5 team but they haven't played like one most of the year.

Gonzaga's win at okie State is a damn impresssive win.

As impressive as their losses to Illinois and Butler. That's the thing about Gonzaga: When they beat top 25 teams they get all the accolades. When they lose to top 25 teams, they get almost equal praise, because they are these scrappy underdogs who should get rewarded for just daring to schedule these games.\

Since you love out of confrence scheduling so much, LU has beaten Missouri, Memphis, and Kentucky. The lost to Duke by 5 (A performance by the way which would have catapulted Gonzaga 5 spots in any poll.). What more would you have wanted from UL to demonstrate that they have "played like one most of the year"?

Of their five losses, their worst loss was to Villanova.

Illinois and Butler were both playing great at the time and Butler was on the road. No shame in those losses.

Those names look impressive on paper but memphis hasn't beaten anyone this year, UK isn't good, Mizzou has been up and down. I believe UL is a top contender for the nat'l title even though they haven't played like it often this season.

But what does "The haven't played like it" mean? Isn't that subjective?
