http://www.rantsports.com/nfl/2013/...ors-would-team-pursue-kevin-kolb-if-available Not a fan of his honestly, but with Marty as OC I wouldnt be shocked if it happened.
Kolb and his contract for Tebow just to get him off roster straight up would work. Kolb is due 9 million in 2013. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on NFL Live Friday that Kevin Kolb's future with the Cardinals is "up in the air." ESPN's Chris Mortensen says the Cards are trying to rework Kolb's contract. If the sides can't reach an agreement, "both sides move on." Kolb is owed a $2 million roster bonus on March 15, and his future will be decided before then. Kolb is a poor fit for new coach Bruce Arians' vertical-passing philosophy. Feb 22 - 4:44 PM
If Kolb can be as good for us as he was for Philly the year he stood in for Vick, we'd be pretty well off and Mark would finally have a REAL competition on his hands. Maybe AZ is the place good Qb's go to die.
Yeah, I am pretty sure Kolb could beat out Sanchez. Mark has no support now besides nyjunc and myself, so this would be an interesting pick up for sure. Sign Garrard, pick up Kolb, draft a QB, release Tebow and McElroy, have a 4 way competition in camp, release Garrard (haha) and then have 1. Sanchez/Kolb 3. Rookie QB as a depth chart for 2013.
The Jets have been linked to practically every QB who may or may not be available. Smoke screen anyone?
Why not trade Sanchez for Kolb straight up? Both are being overpaid, and a straight exchange would have no cap hit, correct? I'd take Kolb any day of the week over Sanchez, but I think AZ might make a move like that since they are not going to keep Kolb, anyway. Both teams would benefit.
Yes, I agree. I mean, why not? We have to find someone, and sending a message to everyone else tells them it's do or die.
