Yep. His case is still open. But in situations like this, FIFA grants players temporary license. With this license, players can play for another team.

Schalke claims Galatasaray has added him to the squad after Feb 1 so he shouldn't have played against them. Galatasaray claims he was added to the squad after Feb 1 but notified UEFA before Feb 1 about his status due to FIFA's process. And Galatasaray has a paperwork from UEFA granting him to be eligible for Champions League.

We shall see how the events will unfold. If Schalke wins the case, Galatasaray will be down 3-0 for the first game even though it ended 1-1.

    http://sports.yahoo.com/news/soccer-superlatives-run-short-wizard-bale-231229448--sow.html

LONDON, Feb 25 (Reuters) - Gareth Bale's team mates are losing count of his goal tally and opposing managers have no idea how to cope with his threat after the Welsh wizard's stunning late strike helped Tottenham Hotspur beat West Ham United 3-2 on Monday.

Bale's double, which took his Premier League haul to 15 goals and only four behind golden boot pacesetter Robin van Persie, was his third this month for Spurs who are chasing second spot in the table.

Bale scored two superb free kicks to hand the London club a 2-1 first-leg advantage over Olympique Lyon in their Europa League last 32 first leg and he was also twice on target in their last league match against Newcastle United.

Not that you care but here is an update from UEFA regarding Drogba's Champions League status.

They denied Schalke's request and made Drogba eligible for the remainder of the tournament

And I hope this sparks Drogba and we beat those Germans in the Germany and advance to the quarter final.

PS: A small video for you to see the great Galatasaray spectators in a derby match against Fenerbahce(matchfixers)

I wouldn't call an entire fan base scum just because 2 bastards killed those guys. That was a low point in our history and I assure you many of us felt the same pain when that incident happened.

Arsenal fan stabbed in Copenhagen prior to the UEFA Cup Final in 2000?

12 year old Fenerbahce fan stabbed prior to a derby game last year?

Welcome To Hell indeed. Vile scum who should be banned from all European competition.

Still you are blaming an entire fan base. If you weren't English I would understand but it was you(English teams) who got banned from Europe for a few years. It is not like you guys are any better.

Liverpool got English teams banned from Europe. Other English teams have a history of going abroad and causing trouble, and the English national team was for many years a magnet for nutters. No-one's excusing that, but Galatasaray and a couple of the Italian teams (Lazio and Roma) have forged for themselves and seem to delight in a reputation for stabbing opposition fans. All those clubs should be banned from European competition until they sort out their scum fanbases, just like you rightly observe English clubs were in the 90s.

I'm a Nottingham Forest fan. We're one of the only teams to have won the European Cup and then successfully defended it. Good luck finding any history of our fans stabbing the opposition, at home or abroad. Don't go kidding yourself that your scum club is somehow just like all the others, I've travelled across Europe to games in Italy and Spain and Portugal and Germany and never seen anything like the shit that your disgrace of a club is allowed to get away with.

Galatasaray are a scum club with scum fans who should be banned from European competition while the stabbings and the airport welcoming committees and all of the other vile shit that they get away with are allowed to continue. No ifs, no buts.

I think you are mentioning history of English hooligans very lightly. Whatever I write won't change your opinion. I don't live in Turkey. If I did, I would invite you as a guest to watch a Galatasaray game with me. That way you could see many civil fans enjoying the game just like you. Those scumbags you mention are within every club. I lived in London for 6 months in late 90'ies. Went to a few Tottenham and Arsenal games. Believe me I have seen my fair share of scums in those games too. Also my cousin lives in Nottingham. I had a sympathy againts your team but now you insulted my team so much it will be tough for me to tell that to you. Enjoy your night

You kind of forgot to mention all the hand holding that goes on when Rangers/Celtic play. I know they're Scots and not English but they've established a pretty low standard for fan behavior as well. I was lucky enough to go to a game at Ibrox back in 2001 and was told by the person who got me the tickets to avoid green. red, and blue as it could get me killed. I sat in the Rangers section and had no trouble but it wasn't exactly like I had the secret service around either.

Just a small minority of the fanbase that are the problem at Galatasaray?

I have never, ever seen players coming onto the field have to be protected by a phalanx of riot police using their shields at any other club.

English football had a problem with hooligans attacking opposition fans. As a result, English teams were banned from European competition for five years.

Galatasaray have a problem with stabby cunts attacking opposition fans. As a result, Galatasaray should be banned from European competition.

By your own logic, your scum club should be banned. Comparing London to Istanbul is just horseshit and you know it.

It's a bit better these days, but Glasgow can be a hairy place at times. I think whoever was advising you was being a bit melodramatic - wearing the wrong colours would only get you into trouble if you wandered into a part of town you'd be very unlikely to be in, just like wearing the wrong colours in parts of Compton or East Detroit could cause you issues. On a Glasgow match day lots of people wear colours and intermingle quite freely, safely and happily.

Glasgow is incredibly safe on match day compared to cities like Rome, Palermo and Istanbul.

English clubs were banned for scrapping, not for stabbing people.

If you think it was right to ban English clubs, then you must support the ban of Galatasaray. (Actually, you should support the ban of all Turkish clubs in order to be consistent. Not all English clubs had troubles with hooliganism.)

If you don't believe that Galatasaray should be banned, then you must agree that the ban on English clubs was wrong.

There is no third way without being a complete hypocrite.

Also, you'll notice that at no point have I referred to you, I have talked about your club and its domestic fanbase (Galatasaray fans seem to behave themselves outside of Turkey, because like domestic fans of Italian clubs they only seem to want to show what big men they are when they have massive numerical superiority as well as the protection of their crooked clubs, police forces and politicians.) Your resorting to childlike insults aimed at me suggests that you know that your position has no logical or moral ground upon which to stand, and that you know that your scum club is a blight on European football.

No-one likes your club and no-one wants it in European football, but unfortunately UEFA want the TV revenue. The sooner Galatasaray are removed from European football until the disgraceful behaviour of its fans is faced up to, the better.

It is OK when you call an entire fan base a scum but it is not OK when I reply back. Typical English double standart. Listen dude. If you come to Istanbul, drink like a maniac and hassle people, people will respond. Those stabbings happened late night and you know better than me the group that was attacked were making fun of Turkish flag. Act with respect and you will be fine.

Go check history if you want. Liverpool fans, Man Utd fans came to Istanbul without any incident. You claim we are brave only on our own soil. You know this is not true. How can you forget the asskicking Arsenal fans got in Denmark? Check the pictures from this years Man Utd-Galatasaray game. Go check what we did to Brugges fans and PSG fans in Belgium and France. Check out the Lazio-Galatasaray game. We are not drunks like your English cunt hooligans. We respond only when we are attacked

We are cool as long as you are cool. If you come to Istanbul and act like a hooligan, someone will take your liver and hand it to you.

Fuck me, I've heard it all now. You're trying to claim that there's some kind of honour in the fact that Galatasaray fans are murderers? That somehow it was justified and defensible to stab opposition fans? Was the twelve year old Fenerbahce fan stabbed before the derby last year asking for it as well?

    Pathetic.
