I don't know how to feel about this. I have a feeling that he gets a nice contract with a good amount of guaranteed money, and he gets injured. Love how he plays and all, if we could keep his guaranteed money low then I'd take it.
Would be a good move for the Jets if they plan on keeping Rex around longer than one more year. Landry is a great fit in the Rex defense. Just wouldn't want to tie up a long term contract in a guy if the team is going to change directions next year.
Dude trading revis isnt gonna open up the kinda cap space you think it would,it might help in the future but not this year
I don't see the Jets as "all over the map" on Revis. Everything they have done points toward a trade. Anyway, big contract for Landry seems counterproductive
Right - for all we know this could have been a quote from when Tanny was still here and Manish is playing the timing of the Revis talk to try and stir the pot.
Sign him ! BUT before that negotiate... try to bring that 6mill down to 3mill with guaranteed money in 2014
Revis wants 16. Landry wants 6. One player wants 10 million less going forward. Is 16-6 outside the ken?
Trade Mevis sign Landry, pretty simple actually. Draft offensive skill players and let Sanchez get us the number one pick. Then we get Teddy Bridgewater ala the 2012 Colts or 2012 Redskins.
1...unless this guy makes the same idiotic backend loaded deals that the last asshole made..we need to just suck it up this year and we will have a lot of free cap space next year.
you guys know if we trade revis we actually take a cap hit this year? yea that really effin blows. i have no idea how john idzik is going to do anything. i believe though
There will be dead money, but only cost us $3 million this year. $9 Million next year when we get some cap relieve.
