Problem is he isn't going to check out well. Multiple teams have removed him from their draft board. His chronic condition isn't going to improve and will cut his career short.
Jarvis Jones skipped the combine medicals. I think he screwed himself with this decision. He on field production is so good that he didn't need to be dominant in the combines. Average showing would've locked him into the top 10 (maybe even top 5). If you wanna check him out, you're gonna have to wait till pro day. Unless Jets doctors can personally check him out, there's no way he should be picked #9. Seems to me he's gonna drop to some playoff bubble team in the mid to late teens.
I know this is going to sound crazy to a lot of people, but I honestly believe the Jets need to trade up to the #1 pick and draft Leon Sandcastle. The dude's a beast. 4.2 40 yard dash. 46" vertical. 141" broad jump. 6.39 3 cone drill. This guy is a franchise CB. Trade Revis, have him and Cro as our #1 and #2. Our defense would be #1 in the league. http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/leon-sandcastle for his profile.
The main reason for the combine is centralized medical reviews and interviews. If he skipped the combine medicals I don't see him as a first round prospect. He basically shoved himself into Marcus McNeil territory. No one is spending a first on maybe three good years and out of the league in five. Jones needed the medicals more than any other prospect to remain in contention for a first round grade.
Human stupidity knows no bounds. After Gholston disaster, and numerous trade ups that left the roster thin at all positions, Jets must trade UP to draft a workout warrior? For a fucking CORNERBACK? Simply brilliant, man. Simply brilliant.
I absolutely agree, the negative traits were correct. The only downside is uncreative defensive coordinators. This guy will arguably the best corner ever Multiple draft picks + Revis, get it done Idzik
I'd love for the Jets to land this guy ... maybe they could trade down and get him? I think Morningwood could certainly figure out a way to feature him.
damn, can't watch it from work. That's bad news for Glennon. His arm strength was supposed to be one of his big strengths.
I don't know what that poster was watching but I'm caught up now and I still don't see the QBs throwing. Maybe that poster is in Indy.
They aren't QB drills, just WR running routes and the Quarterbacks are throwing to them. IMO Glennon seems unimpressive, and that's in shorts and t-shirts.
No surprise there Glennon was unimpressive in pads too. Are you watching this on Direct TV? I'm seeing a re-run of the QBs and WRs running 40s.
