that jersey kicks tail. went to game 7 between the ducks and coyotes back in '96 or '97, i forgot. unfortunately the ducks won. was rooting for the yotes. had 2nd row.
My favorite current jersey in hockey: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_88XBpzlFQCs/TUIpwh3mhZI/AAAAAAAAASI/4o7di9RWC28/s1600/Wild.jpg
Game day bitches. 3 pressing questions that could be answered tonight---- 1) How many times will MDZ hit the post? 2) Is tonight the night that Torts is held accountable for the lack of production of our POWER play? 3) Will Nash ( though scratched) be sent out to the point on the PP to fire 55 foot wrist shots?
1.) How many 2 on 1's will Delzaster give up? 2.) Hackett? 3.) His wrist shot is twice as hard as Richards slapshot...wiseass...
Andrew Gross @AGrossRecord Craig Anderson (8-4-2, 1.57 GAA, .950 save percentage) will start in net tonight for #Senators. Rough scoring goals for a team that is offensively challenged, Hank better get his 1st SO
I'm not expecting much from the Rangers tonight. Could be wrong, but the place will probably be fired up for a rematch after getting knocked out in the playoffs. Anderson is playing out of his head, not that the Rangers have been testing many goaltenders to begin with. Maybe they'll surprise me, but it's going to be a tough game to win tonight.
No Karlsson or Spezza though, they wont score on us either. I think we have to strongly consider trading for James Wisniewski or a similar guy with a heavy point shot. The Rangers don't have anybody that can blast slappers from the point (except Girardi who couldn't hit the broadside of a barn, much less the 4x6 opening).
The booming shot from the point has been the most coveted piece to the Rangers team for as long as I can remember now. Kind of sad that the closest thing we ever had was Bryan McCabe for a few months.
1) Michael Del Zotto is infallable. He is the second coming of Brian Leetch. He can do no wrong and anyone who disagrees simply does not understand hockey. 2) He is the head coach. He bares no responsibility for his team not scoring. He is not on the ice. Nothing needs changing on the Power Play, the players simply need to figure it out all by themselves and execute. 3) If so, he will be shooting them from New York.
i'll light a few mojo candles for the boys. yes, after that last disaster of a game, i think some a.m. rituals are in order.
1) Del Zotto will hit the post 2 times, once in the closing seconds of the second period during a 5 on 3 with the Rangers down 1. 2) Sather & Dolan will hold a press conference following the game (and after another 0fer on the PP), officially holding Torts accountable for the dismal PP and will ask all media to do the same....which will have no effect on the current situation other than to placate Hackett & other like minded fans (but maybe will get Richards off the pp). 3) Nash will watch the game on tv in horror with blurred vision from the concussion we'll never hear about. I told you all a few weeks ago the hunt for the 8 seed was commencing!
