Rangers quietly have played pretty well in the last 10 games. I was surprised when I saw Gross' tweet after the game that said they're 7-2-1 in that time. Doesn't feel like it so much but I suppose they are playing better.
Yeah weird 4-0-1 last 5 games, not hitting their stride yet, alot of nail biting games but also haven't played alot of the lesser teams yet....
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Ryan Callahan is the all-around most valuable player in the NHL right now. Offense, defense, intangibles, leadership the guy is just so incredibly valuable to this team it's unreal. The Caps were pushing HARD the last minute, I don't know if we walk away with the W if Cally doesn't dive in front of those two slappers in the closing seconds. BEAST!
Im going to challenge you instantly and say Jonathan Toews is better But i love Cally...I have a huge man crush of Toews the player
Toews is fantastic too, I dont get to watch him much but I agree, he's phenomenal from what I've seen.
Love Captain Cally, all guts, got in Ovechkin's face when he hit McD up high, scorer, shot blocker, best PK'er in the league, finishes every body check, blood and guts of this team, perfect example for the younger and older players, took over the game vs Caps when we were down 1-0, leading by example, Captain hustle...
My son was at Torts pre-game press conference vs Caps, he said Torts was hot as a pistol, question how is Nash, I don't answer questions on injuries, next question, how does Nash's injury affect the lineup. I don't answer questions on injuries, next question, 3rd question John when you were with tampa...I'm not with tampa, next question!
Mashinter in lineup: Andrew Gross @AGrossRecord Kreider and Bickel only two players left on ice with Biron. Good indication they're healthy scratches tonight.
Well Torts certainly woke Boyle up by scratching him a few times.....don't think he's got any points but playing much better. I do worry about Kreider's confidence though, but it does seem like they lost every game he played. (sure that's not accurate, but it seems that way) ..anyway if they win tonight, they are 9-5-1 , close to that 10-5 I was hoping for, the friggin Islanders, pfft, they wake up every few games they play against the Rangers or Devils, and get steamrolled by everyone else. 7-0 at home? ridiculous. The Canadiens are tough this year so far, should be a good game.
My son was at Isle game yesterday and couldn't believe how horrible their defense was, after watching them vs Rangers last week...
Mashinter is huge, can fight and has some skills too...scored five goals and six assists in 14 games with the Connecticut Whale. Mashinter will wear No. 40.
