If this is the case, I guess I'm happy for you. It's really none of my business what the Jets decide to do with PSL payment defaulters and it's especially not my place to be judgemental in terms of what's right morally, ethically, legally or financially.

But just because you spoke with "a person" on the phone and that person "indicated" that "essentially" (whatever that means in terms of surety or finality of disposition on the matter), that you'd be able to "walk away" probably would not cut it in my world. I don't operate that way and don't recommend anyone else does either.

Your phone conversation with "someone" on the phone is just that... a phone conversation and nothing more. On the other hand, there is a written document in place, with terms and conditions and I'm sure nowhere in the language is a clause that says the Jets are 100% obligated to fulfill everything within the agreement and that Mr. UncleFester is allowed to renege whenever he so chooses without penalty.

What I am saying is, beware of a voice on the other end of the phone telling you "essentially" (again, whatever TF that really means) that you can walk away. The jury is not fully out yet on what the Jets have actually decided to do, and until you get something in writing from the NYJs that says it's okay to not live up to the terms of teh agreement you signed, I'd be nervous about it.

Yeah, you're got one of the confused, lying sacks of shit newbies on the phone slinging bullshit around like it was water, telling people "no problem" and on the other hand you've got a bonafide, written, signed, executed contract you're looking at in front of you on the kitchen table while you're on the phone with this complete bozo.

If that makes you feel real comfortable, so be it. But that's not my world. you signed up for the duration and until you're notified in writing that it's "esentially" okay to be a welcher, you still ought to have that doubt in your head.

17A IS ON FIRE LATELY!!!! You went in hiding awhile back, probably from all the excitement of the Jets 2012 season. Nice to see you all fired up

227, I see your point. This IS the place for these issues and if guys like Fester can't come here, we will never know what's going on outside the world of UD'ers. I guess I love when posters attack people. I just don't know what people were thinking? How could you not see this coming? How could anyone in there right mind expect not to lose money on Jets PSL's, never mind make money. Even if we won the Super Bowl 3 years ago, if you did not sell them right away, its going down. I can't feel for anyone, we all made our decisions to stay in the UD because of this exact reason. We just did not realize the level that Woody was going to fuck with us, but I would still not go the PSL way.

I would like every one's opinion on what Woody is going to do.

    Free parking for pre-season
    Permanent parking price reduction
    Price reduction on Pre-season only?
    More Coupons?
$200 credit towards next year if you commit to a 2 year contract ( UD'ers).
Offer the best seats available ( 1st 4 rows) by seniority and pay current price for 1st year.
Move to lower level without paying PSL for 1st year and then add PSL price to yearly ticket price

he is going to do something that is obviously temporary and easily changed back. this asshole probably thinks this is only a temporary issue and that his vision is still correct about the stadium.

My best guess is a price reduction, those stupid coupons, and if you pay on time half off parking. Something is going on if we haven't gotten our invoice yet. Last year the money was due April 1st

I think that they could try and give upper deck seats away for FREE and the place would still have oceans of empty seats . You think there were a lot of tickets available on the secondary market last year ? Wait until September rolls around ! At this point,,,everyone I know who had upper seats is GONE ! Not renewing NOT coming back .

Then there are the people I know that have lower seats with psls attached and they are ALL looking for a way out ! It will be interesting to see how this all plays out but I foresee a lot of bad press regarding the stadium and the empty seats and PSL s,,,,way more than in the past,,,especially with the product on the field .

It's almost like they might have to use the UD sets as a perk to get the Lowers to pay their bill and not walk.

"Renew your LL seats this year and get two free UD seats as a bonus!" Of course, they'll get EZ Row 23.

We can never do what the Mets are doing in the same time frame because of the Cap. If there was no cap, we could do something about Sanchez or Holmes this year. Jason Bay and Santana are our Holmes and Sanchez. Also, the Mets owner is full of crap, they are never going to spend the big $ anymore, they are to cheap. Woody is not cheap, we just make stupid decisions time and time again. Lets hope the Jets stay away for signing older FA's and giving up draft picks. In that sense, we are going the Mets route, its just gonna take more time.

I keep wondering are the Jets going back to the old ways when we got the bill in March and it was due May 1st?

Something must be up. I'm expecting some fancy thing saying how we have a shot at Super Bowl tickets. Only problem is you're better off taking your $1,000 per ticket and playing blackjack in AC.

My guess is, there's total panic going on right now. Marketing "experts" have been brought in to advise the previous "experts" on how best to handle this season. "Promotion gurus" who have had previous success bringing back company images like Boston Market and Carnival after the "Legionaires Disease" scare... things like that. People who pride themselves on being able to put chocolate icing on a dog turd and calling it an eclair and successfully marketing it.

Woody is so freaking clueless about how to handle his own business that all this really doesn't surprise me. A clever businessman with street smarts and good old fashioned common sense would have known better than to fuck around with the seniority of his most loyal fanbase to begin with... a huge marketing mistake. You use that valuable asset to build off of, not destroy it only to make room for fickle, spoon-fed, fair-weather friends who are gone tomorrow at teh first sign of trouble. And trouble there is now, first 8-8 and now 6-10.

The old timers would have weathered that (and very often did, for years a n years and decades even) and still came back year after year and paid their STHer bill.

But not now. You dismantled that asset but good when you fucked them over unmercifully. So now you're at rock bottom with massive defections in all three levels. the uppers are going because this is the last straw for them after how they were fucked around. And the lowers are leaving because they got snookered into buying into a worthless program of "pay us up front for the future privelege (and obligation even) of paying thru the fucking nose for tickets."

So the ticket office is probably like, "Boss, we don't know WTF to do anymore. The only phone calls we're getting is from PSL guys who want out or UDers who want better seats or they want out too. We're not getting ANY phone calls for new ticket sales... only cancellations. What should we fucking do?"

And Woody is standing there with his thumb up his ass asking himself the same question.

Yep U R correct as a LTSTHer I was suckered in by Hess from the time I paid my 1970 bill until I moved to FL after the 94 season. What a sheer waste of money on my part that I should have used to improve my family lot like using that STH money to go on holiday or maybe even save it for my retirement

it is absolutely amazing how often they get this shit wrong. it really is. you knew it would happen, i knew it would happen... tons of others in this thread knew it would happen but yet they went and did it anyway.

im glad they are feeling the pain now. woody deserves every single bit of it for the fuckery he put the fans through.

The price of the season tickets was always right no matter our record. But no the economy sucks the team sucks the stadium sucks. Thank god they let me park closer or else that would suck. And don't offer me that bullshit coupons again. I had leftovers come the chargers game and they ran out of chicken fingers and other stuff.
