How can we be off course of a discussion that has nothing to do with this thread?

circus catch? it was a great throw down the siedline where only Braylon could make the catch. The KR set us up in nice FP in a similar(better) situation in 2005 at home peyton couldn't even get his game to PT b/c he didn't set up his kicker for a chip shot FG.

Probably says a lot that a highlight clip of great plays by Sanchez is a 5 minute reel that has about 4 throws in it that are exceptional, the rest are relatively routine passes for most NFL QB's and about 1/4 of them are to wide open receivers. One of the best examples in the clip of Sanchez's problems is I think it's the second or third deep pass in the clip, the reciever is wide open with about 4-5 yards of separation and Sanchez double clutches the throw and is actually late delivering the ball, but the receiver has so badly beaten his cover man that the late throw actually looks like a good throw.

Hope Mike Pettine and the staff brings Landry to Buffalo, Bart Scott as well. Bart isn't that great of a player anymore, but we need his attitude in our locker room. I'd love Mike DeVito as a back up rotational player.

Do you want Mark Sanchez and Shonne Greene too?

I'd take Braylon. If Greene wants to play 3rd string and special teams I'd have no problem, but no way he wants to do that.

    Why do you think?....

Landry/Bell would be nice to retain, but Landry is looking for money. He just completed a full season without injury, he is going to look to cash out. If we manage to find a way to afford him, great, but realistically unless he gives us a discount (and playing here for 1 year not sure why he would), I don't expect him to be a Jet next year unfortunately.

You guys can have Landry, we'll take Jairus Byrd (I wish). He's a far better FS than Landry.

How much cap space do the Bills have? I could see Bart going there ...

Byrd will be with the Bills. He'll either be resigned or franchise tagged. The franchise tag for safeties is one of, if not the lowest, tag number for all the positions. It will only cost $6 mil to franchise him.

The Bills have about $25mil in cap room to spend. Scott is certainly a possibility.

wtf 25 million? I do not want to see Landry and Byrd teaming up. Landry (SS) would help stop the run though for your team, you guys still need linebackers - Bart can only do so much. I'm assuming you guys are running a 4-3 / 3-4 hybrid defense as well? Man I would love to exploit Mario Williams as a linebacker though

Yeah, Pettine has been keeping his plans on the alignment close to the vest. All he says is we will be attacking and aggressive. I would assume he wouldn't deviate much from what he's always run, which is the hybrid. Mario played LB for 5 games in Houston... he had 5 sacks in those 5 games. I dont think it matters what position you call him to be honest, LB or DE, he will be coming after the QB with either title. No one is going to make him cover guys.
