How is that asinine? You mean to tell me that Manning, with Holmes, Keller, Kerley, and Hill would not have us winning more games than we have this year? Do you think Manning would have had the buttfumble? Do you think Manning would have thrown those red zone interceptions in FOUR games (may I remind you that if you hero didn't throw them we would have won those games). Do you think Manning would have thrown four interceptions in the Tennessee game? If you think that Manning would not have lead this team further than Sanchez, you are an idiot.
Somebody has 175 posts out of the 860 in this thread and in defense of Mark Sanchez he's disparaged Joe Namath, Brett Favre and Peyton Manning in the process. He's probably taken a shot at Marino in there also although the volume of posts was just a blur as I was scrolling back through this two week old thread. 175 posts! And 95% of them were not worth responding too because when you use numbers the numbers aren't the important thing but when you use attitude, well just look at the numbers! It's impossible to have a discussion with a bulldog who is just looking for an argument and doesn't care what the facts are. When you wind up with Joe Namath wasn't great but Sanchez is secretly good as the basis of an argument what can you do? The thread itself is unreadable because of the volume of posts by that user. Even putting him on ignore does not help because everybody responds to the garbage, often just to say it's garbage.
so now in addition to being a great reg season QB he's a faith healer too? you know Keller and Holmes were hurt most of the year, right? If we stayed healthy on O we would have made the playoffs w/ Mark. Reading is a huge issue for you, I said we'd probably win 2-3 more games w/ peyton and MAYBE make the playoffs depending on tiebreakers then be 1 and done like Manning usually leads his team. To say w/ Kerley, Schilens, gates, Cumberalnd and reuland we'd make a title game when he couldn't do it in denver w/ vastly superior weapons is as asinine as it gets.
So winning enough games to get your team to qualify for the playoffs in 12 of your 14 NFL seasons isn't being a clutch player? Ok ... sure. Well, I'll tell you what ... I'll take that guy and you can have the guy who turns it over 50 times in two seasons.
Never once have I compared Mark to any of them but just keep posting outrageous comments. The facts are all those QBs were vastly overrated, sorry if that bothers you.
so it's clutch to win an awful AFC west or AFC South but we ignore all the chokes in postseason? Everyone would take Peyton, I never said I wouldn't take him but we have a bunch of posters using outrageous comments to deflect from their incredibly weak arguments.
You're not sucking me into your stupid argument. The only reason why Peyton is not in the title game is because prevent defense didn't prevent Flacco from winning the game. We would have been either 10-6 or 11-5 with Peyton, and the word 'buttfumble' would not be in our lexicon. I can't believe you're defending Sanchez with these idiotic arguments.
oh really? not his pick 6? not his INT that set up the GW FG for Bal? not his 3 TOs that directly led to 17 pts? YOU are talking about idiotic arguments? the man was handed 14 pts by STs and still couldn't win. Blame the D all you want but Peyton cost them that game. 10-6/11-5? oh boy. ok, using that incredibly flawed lack of logic let's say we went 11-5, we still are a WC team and we would have to win 2 in 2 road playoff games to get to the title game. He's won 2 road playoff games in his entire career, he lost at HOME w/ MUCH better talent(O and D) but we'd have been title game bound. Clearly our only issue was QB!
By defending Mark Sanchez and downplaying those other guys, often times within the same post! you are, in fact, comparing Sanchez to them. If I say: "The ford pinto is a great car....the corvette is overrated." I can't then backtrack and say I wasn't comparing the pinto to the corvette, when it's obvious I did, whether intended or not. Lastly, what "facts" are you talking about. The "facts" in Junc land. The only "facts" are that those QBs are champions and Mark Sanchez is not.
If others aren't smart enough smart enough to differentiate btw the 2 arguments I can't help them. At no point did I compare the players or their careers w/ Mark Sanchez. At no point did I say I'd take mark over any of them but others want to be outrageous to deflect from their weak arguments.
This kind of stuff might work in grade school, but were all adults here....You know what you were doing, and we know it as well. You can't then backtrack and say we're just not "smart" enough to get it.
If you keep saying it you might actually start to believe it. It's just a deflection to make it seem like I am saying mark is better than Manning or Elway or whoever. You guys should try reading my actual posts. There's no backtracking, I never backtrack. Another attempt at deflection.
All this arguing is kinda moot. It is obvious to me that the injuries and lack of talent on the roster would have doomed the Jets regardless of who was behind center. It would not have mattered.
You are a wise man. w/ that said w/ an eliote QB like Peyton we definitely are better but not enough to make any sort real difference. MAYBE we sneak in as a WC team but no one could win w/ the healthy talent we had this year. That doesn't absolve Mark from his poor play but he really had no chance.
Well said bradwaysux... haha oh, we tried... a few guys even died from the rage induced blood pressure spikes... a few guys have gone rabidly mad and are living in asylums now... those that were able to salvage our sanity... well, nowadays we just try to warn the others...
We would of lost that Seahawks game regardless of the Redzone int to Sherman , but It depends what Eli your talking about , he seems to look diffrent every year, He had like 26 ints the year before they won the Superbowl
