For members who are 35+ What do you have in your bucket list? Or do you even have a bucket list? I have 4 things in my list. Numbers 2 and 4 are doable but I am not so hopeful on numbers 1 and 3 1) Once space travel is cheaper, go to the space with a commercial jet. It is around $200,000 now but I am expecting the price to go down in 20 years or so. 2) Go to the center of North Pole and Antarctica. 3) Climb Mount Everest 4) Go on a 6 months cruise that travels all around the world when I am retired.
I can get the Mt Everest goal to an extent, but why on earth would you want to trek thru a frozen hell only to find the center of that frozen hell? At least Everest has a summit where you can climb up to and whip out your dick and yell at god... but what's the appeal of Antarctica?
Well please note I said North Pole and Antarctica. That way I will achieve all 180 degrees angle that is possible on earth. Yes it is stupid I know but I want to do it
i like this list mine is similar (im not 35+ but im mking the list anyway) 1.Def space travel, space travel has got to be crazy.I would like to see the view from Mars 2.Have Sex With Danneryas Targarean in the costume from the show(see game of thrones) 3.Drive a old pirate ship around the entire world 4.Punch Mark Sanchez in the face 5.Kick Mark Sanchez in the nuts after i punch him
Not in any particular order: 1: Take the Amtrak "Empire Builder" transcontinental train from Chicago to Seattle and utilize the sleeping cars. (The American Orient Express). 2: Snapper fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. 3: Take a cruise ship on one of the more luxurious lines for a week to the bahamas. 4. Deep Sea Fishing in the Keys for sailfish. 5. Vacation in Hawaii. 6. See another Jet SuperBowl.
Well I'm almost 34 so I'll play.. #1) Go diving in a shark cage #2) See Victoria Falls in person #3) Attend both the Indy 500 and Daytona 500 #4) Attend the Kentucky Derby #5) Do a cruise around the world (I've seen a 73 stop 6 month cruise for about 23K for an inside cabin) #6) Be a contestant on either Amazing Race, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune or Price is Right #7) Be an extra in a movie
For now, I could find a 119 day cruise. But I know there are 6 months ones as well. http://cruise.expedia.com/Itinerary.aspx?item=431393&tpid=1&eapid=0 The above cruise costs $21,995 per person. I know there are ones visiting South America after Australia and they cost roughly 40K per person.
I should have mentioned stuff about Sports but since these type of stuff is not in your hands, I decided to leave them out. In terms of sports, I would like to watch a 100 meter final in the Olympics, watch a soccer World Cup Final and watch a Superbowl 2016 Olympics is in Brazil so I will be able to do that in a few years 2014 World Cup is in Brazil and if I am lucky to find tickets I will be able to that as well Next year, superbowl is in NJ and I am planning to watch it as long as tickets are not over 2K for the nosebleeds. So if I am lucky, I will achieve my sports related stuff before I turn 40.
edit....... Sorry for multiple posts. This is what happens after you sit in front of computer half drunk.
1. Stare down a tornado. 2. Watch whales breach. 3. Buy a waterfront retreat cottage. 4. Take a 1-2 week kayak river expedition. 5. Start a faith based movement such as WWJD or True Love Waits.
take a month and drive cross country, starting on the northern route and end up in Seattle. Then drive down the coast, visit the Grand Canyon for a few days, see the desert, hoover dam and take 10 back. Visit the pyramids in Eqypt. Visit Ireland and England. I would say see a Jets SB,but i have a better chance of taking out a burial plot in one of the pyramids.
1) masturbate to completion into a turducken 2) invent the "live forever" pill, making all bucket lists obsolete
Hike the Appalachian Trail. Watch the Jets win a Superbowl. That's about it. One of those things, I actually can make plans for when I retire; the other, I can only dream.
I can't list them all right now but off the top of my head: -Travel to every MLB stadium in the country, also as many NFL stadiums as possible -Go in a shark cage among Great Whites at Seal Island off South Africa -Travel to as many countries as possible. Already been to around 15 for school, work and play. -Drive 150+ on the Autobahn. -Drive from San Diego up the entire west coast to Seattle and into Vancouver BC. -Obviously a Jets Super Bowl
Some good ones here........ I've done some cool stuff, but as a 38 yr. old child, I never really thought about it. mine may be: Round the world trip would be awesome (especially parts of Europe (a Guinness in Ireland), and random exotic places)...... trip to the Galapagos too...... and actually cruise across the USA, stopping in random bars and restaurants along the way. Not really "Bucket list" stuff but I'd like to Catch a Blue Marlin..... Been to the North Shore a bunch and have surfed alot of waves many would consider big, but.....surfing real Pipeline & Waimea, but getting old(er) sucks...... it's a serious commitment, especially if you don't live there. we'll see. Cultural Travels are in the future for my later days, I know my bodies days for taking a beating are limited everytime I get out of bed in the morn. so I'm trying to chase waves while I can....... now if I could only win lotto...... JetsNation06, my dad did that when he got back from Vietnam.... bought a junker car in OR (or was it SF?), took the PCH to SanDiego, and sold it for more than he paid for it, then flew back to NY.... said it was a pretty awesome way to waste a few days Cman..... Sailfish in Stuart or Palm Beach in the winter...... Big Snapper here in NE FL, winter/ spring (too bad we can't keep them though)
