I guess teams have never stuck to their guns with a trash QB and the QB was still trash a few years later

Simms was mostly middle of the pack in the league when his completion percentage was under 60. He was actually top 10 a couple of times, including 4th in 1990 at just 59.2. Completely different eras; totally incomparable.

1990? He'd been in the league 11 years.

You pointed out that it took him a long time to get to 60%. I was just noting that it wasn't uncommon for even outstanding quarterbacks to miss that mark in that era. Took Elway more than 10 years. Marino missed more than he made it.

Meh - go look at some early simms highlights and take note of how often he's doing a 7 step drop. Sanchez certainly has not been graced with good offensive coordinators but he's not playing in the offense Simms ran.

I would agree with you except I believe Henne makes better decisions. Both suck though...now your making some head way understanding what people a talking about:beer:

Yeah that would actually be a good example except that the Phins were smart enough to cut bait and move on

We thought he sucked because of Henning, changed O coordinators and he still sucked, so he was gone. That's the non-stubborn way of doing things. Of course if we had given him a big extension he might still be around.

Even through 2 bad offensive coordinators you can still tell what a QB is doing right and wrong.

Oh, but he has been. Schottenheimer routinely put him in long situations, long developing pass plays and deep drops.

Go look at my posts from any game over those three years.

My one constant has been screaming get the ball out of his hands.

That's what Ground and Pound is to the QB. Run, run, Bail us out.

And that's not what he did at SC, he ran a more modern offense. And very well, which is why I think MM is the answer

I don't think so in this case, and Henning is light years ahead of the trash we've had here,

I think you should just be like George Costanza and think the exact opposite of what you are thinking is probably right

You have no idea! Our ground game didnt set it up for third and longs all the time! His run game gave him a lot of mid to short throws on 3rd down! You are just being a fanboy spin artist! You are right on one thing though, we do need to hurry up and get the ball out of his hands, cause if we don't he will throw a pick! If we don't get the ball out of his hands, and into the hands of a decent Qb, we can look forward to another shitty year!

    Try watching the games.

8 and 9 in the box, 3rd and long.

I tape, and review every game. Usually several times.

Fanboy spin artist, how about not using ButtBoys terminology.

    Go back watch week one.

Sparano put him in the gun, where he should have been for years, and he torched buffalo, (including the guy all you fanboys loved, Mczkelvin)...

The problem has never been Sanchez, the problem has been calling what he's good at, like in Hard Knocks, they give him the headset and he marches the team down for 7.

That's (while an undersized sample) an indication that he understands what he sees.

I've always advocated giving the QB a series or two to call his own plays. If he scores, he continues...if not, go back to the OC, over time it forces the QB to learn more, and at some point..lmaybe he gets it.

your stats don't mean nothing! You still haven't proved shit, Simms was injury plagued and was sporadic all of his career! Nacho has 2 out of 6 good games in his playoff years, and now we can't sniff the playoffs! Simms played in a totally different era than your little baby nacho does! You can't touch Qb's in today's game, but in Simms era wacking the Qb was common on every play! Didnt Simms go 22-25 in the Super Bowl? Didnt his team win? What do we have to look back on nacho? His 93 yards and win in sandiego? His career playoff game 3 tds against NE? His 15-20 against Cinn his rookie year? Or the lack of play in both AFC championship games? Simms wasn't anything but average in his era, and you chose to say he sucked, when taco clearly sucks beyond Simms? You obviously don't watch football or you wouldn't have been bashing an apple against an orange! Simms played in an era of multiple great defenses that would eat Qb's! Nacho plays in an era of coddled Qb's, and mostly sucky defenses! If you didnt act like a teenage punk you would understand, but again you must not watch football!

So, there are only two options here,
    A: you're admitting I'm right....
B: you don't speak the lingo?

In either case it's not possible to discuss the matter intelligently, since your use of the language would make a challenged 12 year old look like William F. Buckley.

And if you can't speak English, how can your interpretation of statistics, or events be relied upon?
