same thing for Josh Smith He's been shooting outside jumpers for a long time, despite the fact that he's lousy at it. I remember an SI article where he swore he wouldn't attempt another 3. http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-triangle/post/_/id/49283/courtvision-the-worst-shooters-so-far
Good call on Josh Smith. He's a confusing one to figure out. He has all the athleticism in the world for a bigger guy and yet he likes to float around the 3 point line at times
Lakers - Nets at Barclay's Center, Brooklyn, New York. Lakers up 5 with under a minute to go. This sounds like a home game for the Lakers. 'Brooklyn' fans looking bad. What's worse, is should the Lakers hold on, that tool Neil Everett on Sportscenter will treat it like game 7; opening story with a slew of followup side stories.
It would be a good win for the Lakers, especially with MWP and Dwight Howard out and Pau leaving late game with injury. I haven't paid attention to what else happened in sports today, but this was a "big" game
I didn't see it but Jackson had GS intentionally foul down a lot to avoid Houston from breaking the 3 point record? I think he told his team that after one of the Rockets' players wasa taunting? If that's true, good for Jackson. If you don't want a record broken on you, don't let it happen
I shut the game off at halftime, but yeah. http://www.sbnation.com/2013/2/5/3957532/rockets-warriors-three-pointer-record-mark-jackson
That's clown ass shit. Any true nba player loves it when records are broken. Focus on winning, not whether or not a team breaks a record.
If he admits that's what he did it's a lot worse for the game than pop sitting some starters against the Heat on TNT.
he doesn't have to admit it. Why else would they be intentionally fouling so Houston couldn't get shots up? Game was basically over at halftime, mostly because Houston couldn't miss in the first half.
I have no problem with it. The pro basketball talk article I can't find said Jackson let the Rockets shoot 3 with 4,3,2 minutes left. It wasn't until someone the Rockets started taunting he asked his team to intentionally foul. 100% fine with it. I mean the whole idea is if you don't want something to happen on you, stop it. The warriors did that. No problem with that.
http://network.yardbarker.com/nba/a...witter/12848440?linksrc=home_rg_head_12848440 Here it is. Someone on HOU threw down a monster dunk in garbage time and taunted GS, got a tech for it. Then GS started intentioanlly fouling. I am 100% ok with that.
LAKERS NEWS: Ken Berger @KBergCBS Pau Gasol has a partial tear of his plantar fascia and is expected to be out at least six weeks, league source tells @CBSSports.
watching ESPN, Popovich interview between 1st and 2nd quarter "how can you improve on your performance from the first quarter?" "making shots go in the basket." "by design? tactically?" "shots either go in or they don't" I forget what the third question was, but the answer was "no" or some variation. classic  Pop in rare form.
Hhaha thats great. He's such a great coach. the best is when Sager interviews him on TNT. I feel like Pop truely dislikes Sager
Some guy announcing that game is ready to write in Spurs/OKC Western Conference Finals, lol. A lot can change. Clippers are strong when Paul is healthy.
Spurs/OKC should be favored but Clippers are a big threat and so are the Grizz even without Gay I think can pull an upset. If the Lakers sneak in, who knows. That means the Lakers would be riding a serious hot streak. EC a lot easier. Book MIA to the EC on one side and wait for whoever makes it out of the the other half of the bracket.
well, Lakers are without Gasol and Howard again, I think it's pretty safe to count them out. Bleacher Report with more stupidity. What irony?
I have no idea. Oh yeah I'm just saying hypothetically if the Lakers made it, it means they are riding a half a season hot streak heading into the playoffs. Most likely they won't, but if they do it means sometihng clicked for them
Lakers/Celtics not quite the marquee matchup TNT was hoping for. Lakers, of course, have no big men, and I guess Sacre is going to be playing again. Celtics lost Rondo and then decided why bother having Sullinger play when they aren't going anywhere anyway. So they shut him down as well. Boston is only a 1.5 point favorite. That would only make sense if Howard plays.
