Even with a haggard lineup I think Lundqvist plays true to form tonight. A few days off and a game against the Devils will do him good. Should be a good one.
I'm going out on a limb here and proclaiming this a make or break week for this team (good week propels them, bad one sinks them early). Liked what I saw against the Lightning, but that will mean nothing if they lose tonight. gotta beat the Devs, Isles and Bolts (at least 2 0f 3) again to get some friggin momentum. Hank better play more like himself than he's been.
Good news... From: @AGrossRecord Sent: Feb 5, 2013 11:33a Ryan Callahan participating in full #NYR morning skate. In a regular blue practice jersey. Not in a non-contact jersey
This is a statement game which will tell us a great deal about this team's commitment and dedication to execute.
A statement game would be killing the Bruins or Penguins. Beating the Devils is just ho hum like twice a week when you have to take out the trash
we're almost at the first quarter of the season mark......I said i was going out on a limb ; ) I still do feel a bad 3 games here will have us fighting for 8th seed for the rest of the season I hate season with high expectations!
As good as they were last year, the Rangers started off 3-6 (0.333) then went on a 12-2 streak. I'm not worried, even if it's a shortened season. A bad or medocre team would not have beaten the Lightning on Saturday night
Andrew Gross @AGrossRecord So Brandon Mashinter definitely not playing. He's been re-assigned to #CTWhale after morning skate. Which sounds like Kreider's ready Better than Stu Pickles
Yeah I'll try and remember that, their schedule has been a bitch too. When are the Canes, Leafs, Panthers, Jets coming, cripes...
I don't see how anyone could question that this is a good team. What I am questioning is their commitment to play hard for 60 minutes every night.
Q: Why do New Jersey Devils fans keep their season tickets on their dashboards? A: So they can park in handicap spaces. Q: What do you call five Devils fans standing ear to ear? A: a wind tunnel.
This is not a make or break game. This is not a statement game. The season will not decline or thrive on the outcome of tonight's game. after tonight, we're not even at the 20% mark of the season. that said, its an an opportunity to get over .500 and get an always enjoyable win over the Devils who I believe will fade off their pace a little bit for sure.
The statement for me is not whether they win or lose, its whether or not they play 60 minutes of solid hockey.
Everyone looks like a slow bunch of fucks on skates.... Duhh... where is it....duhhhhh oh ok... WAKE THE FUK UP!!!
