Yea I remember seeing a lot of similar comments before last season. Unfortunately Tebots refuse to give up when all hope is lost and stick around to argue the losing side of an argument from all angles.
It would provide a year of comic relief now that it isn't happening at the Broncos expense. Let me get this straight... You guys really think: .... with all the drama that surrounded Tebow... ...the GM who brought him in was fired ....the owner seemingly washing his hands from the Tebow disaster, even heard mutterings about "exit strategy." ...and Rex Ryan staying aboard while not using Tebow that much... ...had a fired coach admit they didn't run Tebow plays in practice and did little for his development... ...went to McElroy when they could easily have gone to Tebow and not really lost anything if he failed. ....we see potential suitor teams he might end up with like Jacksonville distancing themselves as soon as possible. ............and there are actually some Tebowners out there that think that not only might he remain on the Jets, he actually stands a cold chance in hell of being the starting QB for the Jets next year? Good luck with that....
Did you miss the fact that I said "some tebowners"? I didn't say anyone in particular, but I've seen plenty that think not only could Tebow actually stay on the team, but Rex will see the light next year and start Tebow. Just thought I'd mention that there are guys that believe that nonsense since YOU brought it up. ...which is hilarious. They're the same dudes that think Jacksonville's GM was only kidding that he wasn't interrested in Tebow and only said what he did because he was still a jet... but still secretly covets Tebow's services. They just can't spit that hook out of their mouths. Face it, he'll be lucky to be signed as a special teamer at this point.
Actually, what you said was this: You replied to my comment with "YOU guys really think". Now why wouldn't I believe that you included me in your response ? Why would I even come close to thinking that you were talking about other Tebowites, EXCEPT for me, considering that you were asking ME the question ?
Canadian Football is only weeks away...Tebow and his herd of disciples will all be able to have a sub forum on whatever team he lands on next...Las Vegas in the UFL would test his ability toabstain! Then this team can get back to being a football team 1st and worry about gimmick players a long way down the road...
So are you denying that there are SOME Tebowners out there that think he may remain a jet and become the starter next year? There are many on the internet, and even some on this board who have a VERY inflated view on Tebow's skillset, potential, and impact on a team.
I wouldn't doubt that there might be some. Then again, there's some convinced here that the Jets can be relevant next year, that Sanchez could actually become a good QB and that Rex is a good coach.
If Tebow is traded/released, I think that Sanchez could bounce back. Like Kyle Orton before him, Mark Sanchez never posted a losing record as a starting QB until Tebow was on the roster. Kyle Orton Win/Loss Season Records 2005 Chicago: 10-5 (.667) 2007 Chicago: 2-1 (.667) 2008 Chicago: 9-6 (.600) 2009 Denver: 8-7 (.533) 2010 Denver: 3-10 (.231) - Tebow on roster 2011 Denver: 1-4 (.200) - Tebow on roster 2011 Kansas City: 2-1 (.667) Mark Sanchez Win/Loss Season Records 2009: 8-7 (.533) 2010: 11-5 (.688) 2011: 8-8 (.500) 2012: 6-9 (.400) - Tebow on roster If Tebow leaves the Jets and Sanchez does post another winning record in 2013, then it will look very bad for Tebow being a locker room cancer...
Hey, better go out and get a nice safe guy like Mark Brunnel, so that Sanchez can go 8 and 8 again. Yep yep, it's all Tebow's fault that the Jets sucked this year. You keep telling yourself that.
There could be something to be said about the locker room cancer, or having the extremely popular media sensaation sitting behind you. Other players aren't a big fan of the unjustified attention either. Playing devil's advocate here... If a QB can't handle having a guy like that behind them, doesn't it sort of illustrate that said player isn't the QB of the future? I doubt Orton sees time as a starter again (barring injury) and Sanchez might be soon heading down that road.
As you rant about Orton, Sanchez and Tebow, Jacoby Jones just torched that pathetic Donkey secondary again!
Please show ONE post from a fan of Tebow on this message board... going all the way back to March... that says he's a Hall of Fame QB... Just ONE!!! Don't worry, I have time.... I'll wait
Why is everyone so convinced he won't be back with the Jets? Here's what we know: The Jets aren't likely to get anything for him in trade. The Jets for whatever reason didn't properly integrate him into the offense. Even if he can't really throw, he's a dynamic player who has useful skills as at least a change of pace/short yardage guy. The Jets have holes all over the roster to fill. I think he's staying.
Oh man ... - Context ... context ... context ... - I really think you should go look that word up ... and then look at your "statistics" (which are way skewered btw ...) again .. - What you are basically saying is that its because of Tebow that Denver went from having a winning record to a losing one the following year ? Seriously ... - Have you even re-read your arguement ??? Not to mention that fact that you include Ortons numbers from his days in Chicago aswell ... - As for Sanchez ... - You are totally ignoring (your own "fact") that NYJ went from an 11-5 season to an 8-8 (in 2010 - 2011 - No Tebow)) ... - But all of a sudden it's because of Tebow they went from an 8-8 mark to a 6-10 ??? Your logis is flawed in so many ways it isn't even funny ...
