The official Jets site has our opponents for next year and who we have at home and away. Let the predictions and speculation begin! HOME: Dolphins Bills Patriots Raiders (Yes, we finally don't have to go to Oakland) Saints Steelers Buccaneers Browns AWAY: Dolphins Bills Patriots Panthers Falcons Ravens Bengals Titans I think this will be a tough schedule even though I expect a lot of teams to take a step back, including the Ravens.
and the best part no nationally televised games besides a random Thursday night game against either the Bills or Dolphins.
As of right now, 8-8 would be a miracle. Things can change though. Over/under primetime games? I'm thinking 2 or less.
Every NFL team gets a Thursday night game now in the new format, so we are guaranteed at least 1 primetime game. My guess is that if Woody is feeling reserved we get 3 primetime games, if Woody wants the spotlight we get 4 primetime games. My guess is one of our Patriot games is primetime, as is one of our Dolphins games, with our Thursday game being against an NFC opponent.
I don't think we're gonna be on NBC this year. I can see us maybe getting a MNF game against the Falcons or Saints. Then a Thursday Night game against an AFC east opponent.
I'm guessing that week 17 is going to be against the Patriots. Ever since the NFL instituted that new rules about week 17 being divisional opponents we have played the Bills twice and the Dolphins once, my guess is we finally play the Patriots in week 17.
As bad as the Jets were last year, they absolutely loved the fact that we played the Titans on national TV, because it gave them the perfect opportunity to make fun of us in front of a national audience. I bet that got decent ratings too, just because so many people seem to be turned on by the Jets losing. Anyways it is WAY too early. There will most likely be a lot of moves this off season. Until we find out exactly how it turns out, speculating about individual game results is pointless.
HOME: Dolphins- L Bills- W Patriots- L Raiders - W Saints- L Steelers- L Buccaneers- L Browns- L AWAY: Dolphins- L Bills- L Patriots- L Panthers- L Falcons- L Ravens- L Bengals- L Titans- L Reasoning: We are likely to see a defense from this year minus: Revis Pouha Thomas Pace Scott Landry Bell Say what you want, but losing Pouha, Thomas, Pace, Scott, will hurt, despite their overpaid performances over the last few years when we have to replace them with essentially minimum salary JAGs. Losing Revis is obviously going to be a blow, as well as losing our SS and FS. A secondary of Cromartie, Wilson, Lankster, Whoever our Dime is going to be, and a myriad of JAG safeties/Antonio Allen and Josh Bush doesn't exactly strike fear into an offense, especially when our Linebackers are god awful. Our defense takes a BIG step back this year, despite hopefully incorporating youth that should bolster us for the future. Our offense is gonna be more of the same shit. We're probably gonna part ways with Moore, which while is necessary, is going to be a downgrade almost anyway we look at it. Even though he regressed this year, he still was a top RG this year. Replacing him with Slauson, Ducasse, or a prospect in the draft is going to be a downgrade. We'll probably lose Keller, who was the only target Sanchez seemed to find with consistency. We'll add Holmes and Edwards, and hope Hill turns the corner (which seems unlikely for me in a WCO, where Hill's weaknesses are the most important traits for a WCO receiver to have) along to our one consistent threat (Kerley). Hopefully we'll add a competent WCO RB in the draft. Hopefully, we'll end up with Clowney or Bridgewater in 2014.
You're full of dog shit. If you really think that will be our record then put your money where your mouth is. I bet you $1000 or any amount larger that we have a better record than that.
Weird how we're only going to be losing players according to you. But seriously this is one of the worst posts I've ever read.
ill reserve any predictions until we get a clearer idea of what the roster is going to look like next season but 2-14 is fucking ludicrous considering the talent level we had this season and still managed 6-10.
Gotta assume at least one of the Wild Cart slots are going to the AFC Division Jets are lining up against. Jets/Dolphins/Bills will have a chance to "catch up" to enter Playoff Race with short winning streaks to close season. Big question is if any of the non-Pats teams in AFC East are good enough to pull it off.
I'll wait until free agency, the draft, rookie mini camp, mini camp and training camp plus 3 pre-season games before I reserve judgement We could be at best 16-0 and at worst 0-16, who knows
