You mean besides the goal he scored in the third period of a one goal Game 7? The puck never hit Boyle. And the goal he scored in the first few minutes of the next game against Philly was right on net. But I get it. You're one of the guys who destroyed MDZ after his terrible sophomore year, and refuse to admit that you were wrong. It's cool. For what it's worth, you're unfortunately not alone.
I cant decide which one of Hackets statements is more absurd.......we should vote? 1) MDZ is simply not a good hockey player. 2) Im convinced Staal is a better all around defensemen. the first one is absurd. MDZ makes some mistakes in his own zone and gets caught in the O zone sometimes, NO QUESTION. But hes still young and his talent is undeniable. When he's on, hes a terrific young player. the 2nd statement is not absurd in its material but absurd that you actually said it as if you wereenlightening someone. NO SHIT HES A BETTER OVERALL DEFENSEMAN!!!! Hes top 10 on ANY list as far as overall defensman go........who doesnt know this?????? hahahhahaha I realize youre all fired up now and not thinking straight dude but come one
And there will always be people like you who will continue to see him as the second coming of Brian Leetch despite the fact that he has no point presence whatsoever, can't hit anyone, and is, at best, an over-glorfied shot-blocker on a team that has at least four other players that provide the same skill. The fact that this joker wears Ron Greshner's number makes me sick. He couldn't carry Greshner's skates.
At least you've moved on to simple conjecture. It's easier to defend than "factual" statements like that he's simply not a good player, or asking for a memorable moment with the preface that "other than clanging the puck off the post twice in the third period of a one-goal playoff game". Especially when less than a year ago he had the game winning goal of a Game 7 in the third period of a one goal game.
I would love Del Zotto on the Oil u are underrating a young puck mover jonny. He will only get smarter with tge puck. In other news Yakupov is beasting cant wait to justify the hate.
Quality win, Hags and Steps finally scored, Nash's goal was a thing of beauty, Gilroy joined the rush nicely and fits in well with Strals, best played game of season, dictating the play and pace of the game...sorry about Hags and Steps Jonny, i know you want them to fail
Hagelin and Stephan do need to step up big time and stop disappearing. We need them to be at least good enough to be counted on.
Like the way he buried Rupp and Bickel on the bench the majority of the game and rolled 3 lines, Asham-Halpern-Boyle played well
I personally feel that the importance of having a quality backip goaltender is vastly underappreaciated in the NHL. I love having Biron on this team.
Great game, I was still pissed Stamkos scored that second goal. I don't think there is a better pure goal scorer then that guy. With that said, Rangers seem to show up for the big games against these almost perfect teams... Boston .. Tampa.. The defense was solid, I love the play of Gerardi, Staal is always a stud and MDZ can generate offense. Happy Haggs finally scored, he’s been playing really well with no goals to show for it. Nash showed what he can do, now we just need the rest of the team to follow suit. Mary B is a solid #2 and looked good in his first start. He had 12 wins last season, not to shabby behind a vezina winner.
happy with saturday night's win, i thought it would be a rough night but they stepped up. oddly, hagelin scores, and jonny's boy Anisimov put in two goals for the jackets. weird night eh? imagine if dubinsky scored too? secretly, jonny is on cloud 9, if anyone wants hagelin to score it's jonny.
I was at the Jackets game. Both of the Anisimov goals were REALLY nice. Dubinsky (spent most of the game making fun of him) actually contributed on a SH goal late in the game to ice it. So three of the five players in the Nash deal recorded a point that night.
the jacket's fans are loud as hell Code, i've watched some of their games on the NHL package, solid fans, if they had a great team the roof might rip right off that joint.
