Woodson has full control of this team offensively. When to make subs, who to put out there, who needs to get touches. He needs to work on defensively. Although we did give up 51 first half points and only 31 right now with 5 minutes left in the game. The pick and roll is still very worrisome but we are beating a team we should beat and protecting home court
A nice relaxing win. What we need. Woodson definitely had the ball handlers on the PnR look at the roller more often and go towards the hoop good adjustment. Also more Smith ball handling was a nice touch. And to close the game he went Melo/Chandler after running Amare for a long time. Good subs that way and Melo came in and sealed the deal. They tried to double him and a couple open 3s put the game away. JR is back on track, so is Novak I think. Player of the game was the leading scorer Tyson Chandler 21, 7,5. Great line from him. Melo threw in 20,7,5. Amare 14,4,1. Felton 15,3,9. Prigs with 11,5,4
I always post 20 in a row. If I'm texting someone while watching, I usually don't post here. But if I'm not talkng with anyone while watching I just put my thoughts down here. Do it all the time
So the Knicks look to be for real...I for sure thought their old age would make em crash and burn by now...
HAVE TO KEEP THE 1 or 2 seed. This team is deep and needs to keep building i am loving how this team has come together after Dantoni got fired
not liking how they are playing defensively, but I'll chalk that up for now to the mid season doldrums approaching. I'm just hoping they hang on and win the division, get a favorable first round playoff matchup and go from there. It would be nice if everyone was healthy at the same time but given their age, i guess that may never happen.
ESPN sets odds for Knicks playing in Championship Finals at 13.3%: http://espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/playoffodds
A friend who knows basketball kept telling me how we match up real well with Miami. I'm not optimistic, but he has made a shitload of money betting basketball so who knows =/
It's tough to say. Miami gives up a ton of 3s, we shoot a lot. Miami gives up a ton of rebounds, we rebound very well defensively But Miami has been coasting, who knows what happens when Lebron turns it up and in turn kicks his team into shape
So Woodson is getting better handles on this lineup. I believe at every minute either Amare or Melo was on the floor. Offense never dipped. We closed the last 7 minutes with Melo at the 4, and it lets us open up some dagger 3s. Also Shump was put on Ellis/Jennings to shut thme down. Chandler hauled 20 boards, lets trade him! Even though we beat them, I don't want the Bucks in the playoffs. 3 straight now, that's a winning streak.
What is this?! I want to know. I tried copying and pasting the link and I can't see it in my browser or in this thread.
i've tried 10 million ways and can't figure out how to post this. animated gif, I have it saved on my laptop
I like how he holds down the second unit offensively and how Woodson use him and Melo to start the 4th quarter then with about 7 minutes left, switched Chandler for Amare and went with our closing lineup to ice it
I haven't had this much fun since the Trailblazers game last year, Woodson's first game as coach netw3rk @netw3rk RT @charliewiddoes: Since falling behind 18-6, the #Knicks are outscoring the Kings, 81-24.
Robert Silverman @BobSaietta The Knicks are on a 91-34 run heading into the fourth. That's not a typo.
