Hate to be that guy, but can we please get to the 2013 draft before we get to the 2014 draft?

I know no one wants to hear this, but the NFL, advertisers and the Jets all have too much invested in Sanchez. I'll place money that MS has a very big season in 13.

I doubt it. And let's not jinx ourselves here guys - maybe we shouldn't talk about QBs in the 2014 draft for a little while. :shit:

My wife told me I was nuts when I told her I expected Sanchez to come up big.

If Mark has a big season - I will be as confused as ever. My mind is already on the post-Sanchez era, if he comes back and starts playing well I just wouldn't know what to think. Toying with my emotions!

I don't think Manziel is coming out in 2014. He won't want to be in the same draft as Bridgewater and he'll only have two seasons as the starter under his belt. He's also going to keep on dominating at the NCAA level which will raise his draft stock. I expect him to be the #1 in 2015.

Quite honestly Johnny football isn't worrying about Teddy Bridgewater. He is bigger than anybody in college football right now and it's not even close. If he has another year like this past one then he will reach Tebow heights at the college level. Obviously blows Tebow away when it comes to pro potential. Johnny Football is basically Russell Wilson plus 2 inches. I think he definitely comes out after next season. He doesn't want to risk injury and there will be millions of reasons for him to leave.

He doesn't seem like a guy that would stay in the colleague level too long. He could also pull a Tebow and stay for 4 years if he enjoys the college game TOO much. his game has a lot of refining to do though, if he wants to be successful.

I do think Bridgewater is the better pocket passer though. He likes to stay in the pocket, but he can take off. I love the fact that he stays in the pocket and tries to make plays. That's a rare skill-set. Plus he's got a quick release and a good arm.

How if Rex gets canned and Football comes out next season, they should draft him and hire the Texas A&M coach whose a known commodity in the NFL.

It's worth sucking next season for him in my opinion. 2014 could determine our fate possibility for the next 5 or 6 seasons.

I predict Sanchez, basically being in what is the equivalent of a contract year, will not suck terribly, but will just suck tolerably. He definitely will be replaced 2014.

ok serious question here and to me its actually tough

first overall pick next year, you take clowney, bridgewater, or manziel? (lets just assume they all come out) normally i would easily say manziel/bridgewater, but clowney is just that much of a freak that he warrants consideration

if we end up being first overall. we take Clowney, no question. Boyd, Murray or McCarron will be around in the second for us. or we can always trade back into the first.

No doubt that Bridgewater is a stud too. I think him and Football both go in Top 5 next year.

Sumlin is a helluva coach. He's got A&M back to powerhouse status in one year. He'll be a hot NFL HC candidate in no time.

An unfortunate situation for us to be in, but if we have the #1 overall pick next year it means we really, truly sucked.

Teddy Bridgewater. The kid is an elite QB prospect, and fire all coaches and hire someone who can really use his talents to the maximum. He runs a 4.6 40, but is such an amazing pocket passer that he never leaves the pocket.

We have Coples and Wilkerson and we run a 3-4. Clowney doesn't fit in a 3-4. If we got a QB in the 2nd this year like a Barkley or Wilson or Bray, then yes we take Clowney and move to a 4-3. Wilkerson as a DT with Clowney as the RDE and Coples as the LDE.....that's just scary.

Clowney = great D-Line for a long time, no guarantee of successful team because of the QB situation

Bridgewater = very good D-Line, team with great promise

We don't run a 3-4 exculsively, we run a Hybrid defense, that's a fact. So saying we run a 3-4 is not entirely true.

You would never pass on Clowney, he would have been the #1 pick this year and it wouldn't even be close.

If Clowney stays healthy and has a duplicate upcoming year, he will be the 1st pick and will be the best defensive player drafted in a generation.

I don't care if Clowney is the next LT, which I think he is. If we have the first pick and the QB situation is no better then it is today, we gotta take Bridgewater or Manziel.

You don't pass on franchise QBs when you don't have one.
