Thanks man, I appreciate that. Ideally Gio falls 2 more spots, but WW had to ruin that . In the real draft I can see Gio falling into that early 2nd range. If he did, I would be more than willing to give up a late round pick to get our guy. Eddie Lacy, IMO, isn't too far off though in terms of talent... Just not the ideal fit in the WCO that Bernard is though.
Patton was the guy i was referring to. Great find but man no OLB in the 1st 3 rounds is kinda scary. Man i hope to pick today lol
Sorry about the delay , my board was all messed up. I went with Jenkins here. Dallas needs a 4-3 DE along side Ware, when healthy Jenkins should be studly. Now Dallas can roll with Ware, Floyd, Ratliff (if he isnt cut), and Jenkins.
Probably not the #1 the Phins had hoped for but Goodwin is explosive and that's an understatment. Has 4.39 speed and while his height isn't ideal he is an amazing athlete and was a 2012 olympian placing 10th in the long jump. Had a great week of practice at the senior bowl and probably moved into day 2 status. I think his QB situation at Texas hurt him as the Horns didn't really have one. That being said ... could he be the 2nd coming of this guy?
Goodwin was superb at the Senior bowl, I think hes going to be a great wideout in this league, very good choice.
Cowboys getting Jenkins is thievery. That's who I hope the Browns get in the third if they don't get an OLB in the first.
He's one of those guys I always like to keep an eye, the guys with interesting stories or the ones who may have played another position or at a very small school. I think now that he is focused entirely on football and not on track or the Olympics we can really see how talented he is and that was on display last week.
Appreciate it. When healthy Jenkins is a first round pick but the uncertainty of his health made me hesitate to select him. I think I did well with the Cowboys draft, addressing the line with Cooper who should be an impact player. Floyd should of been a higher pick but I'm glad he fell to me, he has a huge amount of potential.
Also, he wasn't used very well at Texas in my opinion. If he was used like a Tavon Austin was he'd be a lock 2nd rounder. All I can say is, I DONT want him on the Dolphins.
He would essentially be what they thought they would get in Ted Ginn Jr. (although that's probably not a fair comnparison) An explosive playmaker who gets seperation immediately. It's really scary as a Jet fan to think that the Phins have 5 picks in the 1st 3 rounds.
I don't know that it is really that scary... Would you rather they had Brandon Marshall and Vontae Davis or an extra 2nd and 3rd?
I'm thrilled getting Cyprien for the Bengals. He really looked good Senior Bowl week, a player that is on the rise and could be one of the top 3 safaties next April. He's very physical and excellent supporting the run and has good coverage skills.
