Staal has some offensive ability for sure. Most dont realize this. If you put him out there with MDZ he cant possibly jump into the play since MDZ will be hanging behind the other teams net since he wants no part of playin D :)

Thus, I dont like the pairing.

MDZ is a disaster on the 3rd pair, he needs someone to cover up for him

Flyers tonight at home... ok now a few points.

The people who have boners right now cause a few teams won all their games, calm your ass down. Want to know who to watch? the team who gets hot half way through the season.

Rangers looked "better" last game then the previous games but still need a ton of work.

    1. Faceoffs - they need to either start winning them or get someone who can.

    2. Powerplay - I don't think it can get any worst.

Over all, the rangers are way too talented to not score more goals a game. Let’s hope last game was the start of it.

Best Rangers so far.. top 5

    1. Gaborik - solid when healthy
2 Nash - its only a matter of time before he starts scoring big and often, he's always shooting the puck on net.
    3. Mark Staal - by far the most solid Defensemen the rangers have. Defense gets all the blame when things go wrong, and no credit when it goes right, by far one of the hardest positions to play in hockey.
    4. Taylor Pyatt – A surprise to say the least, let’s see if he can keep this pace up (don’t think so) let’s hope I am wrong
    5. henrik lundqvist – solid overall, but looks shaky at times.

1 & 2 go together, they seemingly lose every faceoff on the PP, Staal's a perfect fit for MDZ, Nash has been their best player, with Gabby a close 2nd, penalty kill is lacking, but I like Nash on it, a definite threat

    Andrew Gross ‏@AGrossRecord
Steve Eminger and Matt Gilroy remain on the ice to shoot on Marty Biron. Looks like Stu Bickel will play tonight and Eminger will sit.

He certainly provides a lot of rebound opportunities after claning all those pucks of the post!

Very defensive aren't we...How many times is he caught out of position? Strals and Emminger can't cover for him, Staal can...

"I thought that little shit Ferriero played well."

So far my impression of Nash is an incredible talent who does amazing things, makes plays happen, but can't close. I'd like to see him finish more of those amazing plays in the back of the net but I guess I need to see him play more games
