Azarenka did something minor to her ankle in the second set and she had a brief hiccup there, but Stephens couldn't hold her serve.

    6-1 6-4 final

Crowd was heavily in Sloane's corner. They dislike Azarenka especially.

    howler monkey azerenka

Azarenka was choking and manipulated the rules to WALK OFF THE COURT for a full 10 minutes ... and this before Sloane Stephens was to serve to even the match. To put it 'politely' it was blatant gamesmanship. To put it in realistic terms , it was flat out cheating.

ESPN announcers got it right, excoriating Azerenka for her calculated bullshit. Imagine: claiming you couldn't breathe (simply because you were choking) and being allowed to leave the court for a full 10 min. by calling it a medical time out -- and again, just before her opponent was going to serve to level the match. Wrong on several levels.

Vika's a POS who was even laughing about it during the on-court post match interview ... and the crowd was not buying it. Very subdued appplause - Aussie tennis fans are very much old school regarding "The Code" in tennis (i.e. sportsmanship) and will not be in Azerenka's corner come the final. I hope Li Na dick dances on her.

Djokovic with an incredible rout of Ferrer.

Djokovic only lost seven points on his serve.

I watched it last night and Djokovic looked unbeatable. He absolutely dismantled Ferrer. I can't recall one player that good look so outmanned in a major semi in a long long time. Let's not pretend Ferrer is a bad player. He's a very very good player that was destroyed by a guy who could not miss anything.

As the announcers said, Ferrer doesn't have the weapons to compete with the elite players. He certainly is good but he doesn't have what Djokovic, Murray, and Federer have.

That being said, it's unbelievable that he won so few games.

It's amazing the gap between the top 4 (Nadal) and the rest of the league when they are on.

I wonder who Djoker wants in the finals. He's obviously rooting for a 5 setter but after that I have no idea who he matches up better with

    I'd rather face Federer.

I was thinking that too. Djoko seems to be able to push Federer around the court more easily than he can with Murray.

    Jays?

I was tilting and losing my money playing blackjack last night after tennis, so kept the Rod Laver feed on. I saw Goran and somebody else play two Frenchies in a "legends" match. Pretty funny. The fat frenchy got up on the chair while one of the ballboys played

I lost track of how many points in a row Djokovic won on his serve, I know it was in the 20's.

I can't believe a feather would change momentum like that.
