really? he is speechless? he and everyone has known this day was coming. the ink wasnt dry on his last deal and holdout was already being brought up. that said, he holds most of the cards here since any team that trades for him is going to want to negotiate a long term deal. there is nothing stopping him from derailing any trade offer and making sure he hits f.a. next year.

on the bright side, the last time we traded our best defensive player we ended up with mangold.

Listening to the fan in Cleveland and they're talking about what they would be willing to give up for Revis. It is comical to see the difference between what people on this forum think he's worth and what the guys on the radio think they would be willing to trade for him.

Because of his injury and contract situation they are saying swap 1st round picks and throw in a 2nd and require an extension.

If the jets don't get a hell of a lot more for this guy, they are getting the shaft.

Obviously they are going to think about giving up almost nothing. Buffalo fans and Giants fans think they could trade for him. Its comical.

I am interested what opposing fan bases would think a "fair" trade is. I highly doubt in our eyes its reasonable. As Cimini reported, the Jets arent trading him for anything less than a first round pick.

I'm speechless by far but more importantly I feel more upset for the jet nation for having to go through this!!!

I wonder how long it takes before Rex or Idzik has to issue a statement, saying there is no chance Revis will be traded and aren't sure how that rumor got started.

Revis' feelings are obviously hurt, but he has to know, or his people have to realize the Jets have to consider everything.

There have been so many great suggestions of unrealistic trades, but this might be my favorite.

there was an Eagles fan I was talking to on Twitter and he said Maclin and a 3rd for Revis lol. and a Bills fan said Spiller and a third.

both teams have nothing to offer to us.

Lol at all the Mario Williams comparisons in this thread. The guy was SOOO overrated. That's why Texans said bye bye and he's sucked up in buffalo. Revis is a stratosphere above this guy.

You wouldn't take both of those deals and run, especially the Spiller one? You're nuts.

Spiller and a third? No I wouldn' take that, and I sure as hell wouldn't take Maclin and a third.

if Revis really wants to be a Jet for life like he says, he will have to be reasonable in his negotiations. he's not going to get 15 mil a year from us.

Spiller is a BEAST - severely under used by Bufallo when Jackson is healthy. He'd be awesome in Morningwoods offense. Very cap friendly deal through 2016 too. I'd probably want more than a 3rd to go w/it though.

I doubt we'd trade w/in the division but if they're dangling Spiller that would be very enticing to me.

exactly. maybe Spiller a 2nd and a 3rd. we would be trading him to a rival.

I think it'd be a decent starting point. With the shelf life of RBs, I'd certainly want more.
