Yeah, but you KNOW the media is going to grasp at every straw where someone has even the most remote connection to Tebow. The next coach to get hired on somewhere else might make a play for Tebow too because his brother was roommates with a trainer that worked out with a former roommate of Tim Tebow's. Tim Tebow came by and said, "hi" to him once. I think that guy will make a play for him too. Yeah, Trestman has worked with so many of them. Who the hell knows how much Tebow stood out in his mind as an NFL caliber passer over all those others? I'm thinking at this point, Tebow is seen around the league as more of a marketing gimmick than he is a potential starting QB. Those grasping at straws in looking for a home for Tebow should probably look into the teams (wh haven't already gave a vehment "NO" who might actually go for the gimmick to sell tickets.
Tebow SUCKS The other 31 NFL teams know this. CFL, Arena,UFL, ELoI, WWE or HC Liberty University are his only options
All 32 teams know this. especially the team that has him right now. Which is why he was given the Brady quinn treatment when passed over for the third stringer. Tebow fanatics are the only ones in COMPLETE denial that his level of suckage has anything to do with his problems.
I am not sure if Kelly would want him, but if Kelly keeps Vick and lets Tebow be the #2, Tebow should jump at it.
In the immortal words of Darth Vader (as written by a "jump the shark" version of George Lucas in episode III) NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rich Cimini @RichCimini Hmm, let's see. Cavanaugh now working for new HC Marc Trestman, who once tutored Tim Tebow. #Connectdots #Jets
Tebow might go to seattle. Pete Carol had a burning sensation on his foot and used the same cream Tebow and a hundred other players used. I think there is a connection there that means Pete Carol will be making a play for Tebow. Makes about as much sense as Chicago going after him because the coach there spent a couple weeks with Tebow tutoring him just as he had with countless others. No, he's going to the Eagles!! They have a coach there that likes QBs that run around a bit. That's gotta mean he has Tebow on the brain. Therer can't be anyone else they might be thinking about. Seems almost every team with a new coach or GM is gonna be put on the spot about Tim Tebow. Caldwell nipped it in the bud immediately when the press asked him. Why? Is he the next Peyton Manning that is about to hit the market?
No disrespect to Tebow, definitely not his fault, but I am looking forward to seeing him go. It will be great to see some of this circus leave with him. Tanny gone, Tebow gone, Next Holmes (please), Sanchez, and Rex has got to be on his last life.
It really does make sense for Tebow to go back up a read option QB and work on his passing. It makes sense for those teams too, in some cases if their starter goes down they have to scrap a large part of their offense.
The problem is Chicago has been offensive line play, a lack of weapons (even with Marshall, they lack secondary options), and playcalling (whether it's Martz or Tice). I wasn't taking a slap at the Bears D, I was referencing the fact that our defense has been a 10 to 12 win defense over the past few years while we've had a 4 to 6 win type of QB. Give the Jets a QB like Cutler to ignite our offense and make it dangerous in addition to our very solid D and I like our chances against most teams.
Who cares where this turd ends up as long as he and all his adoring fanboysare flushed out of Florham Park and TGG and as soon as possible
Okay, I know what usually happens when someone responds directly to you, but I'm not going to bite on the flame aspect. I will say that Tebow going to either team would be workable and a good idea. No idea what Kelly thinks of him. I told you in another thread that there is an interview out there where Kelly says Tebow isn't accurate enough to play in his offense. But one knock on quarterbacks that run a lot is the injury argument. Personally I think RGIII is just physically not built to take a pounding, even if he can really produce running the ball. Cam Newton and Tebow handle this kind of thing much better in my opinion. Kaepernick seems to have the same quality so far. But historically the NFL picks a guy to be "the Man," and rolls with him. I think it is possible, and there is good reason, to play more than one quarterback, similarly to how running backs are used now. And if you think that there are more guys coming out of college that can run a spread/read option offense, there will be enough guys to use it. If I am the coach I think there is room for Wilson and Tebow, or RGIII and Tebow. Or some other guy besides Tebow. I think Tebow can set the world on fire doing the same things, but there are other guys out there and coming into the league that can do well running it too.
No one is giving draft picks for the clown show. No clown show plus saving $1.5 million are all the benefits needed...
Ditka is one of the few in the NFL media who has consistently had the stones to defend Tebow and his prospects as an NFL QB, in the face of the overwhelming "lemming parade" of "analysts" and "experts" who all wrote Tebow off before he ever took his first snap in the NFL. He says what he believes and doesn't care what other people think about it.
