Marty might just be a welcome change, although i have my reservations about the WCO. the thought of bringing in Vick just made me physically ill tho..
not a huge fan. was hoping for lombardi. i do not want vick but considering rex loves him,mornhinweg has ties to him and the wizard of IZ(good?no good?) was with seattle and a mobile qb i think its a better than average chance it happens. as a pitbull owner vick will be hard to root for
As was said in the press conference weeks ago, the GM handles personnel decisions and Rex handles coaching decisions, as is the case with most franchises.

The wins included an unprecedented three consecutive December divisional road games, all with a back-up quarterback, Jeff Garcia. It was the only time Reid yielded play calling responsibilities, a role Mornhinweg continued through the 2007 season.
doubt we bring back greene with this guy running the offense powell and mcknight should do well with his system tone and braylon would be a good fit as well, i like this hire dont get why people are complaining
not bad, it's growing on me. as a pitbull owner, i'd also hate a Vick signing. as a knowledgeable football fan, i'd hate a Vick signing even more.
He may not be the right guy but he is exactly what Ryan wanted..somebody who will push the envelope on offense..of course now we need a QB who can throw the ball with accuracy more then 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage. I am sure that has been discussed with both the new OC and GM before they were hired.
Rotoworld Writeup: Jets hired Marty Mornhinweg as offensive coordinator. Mornhinweg spent the past seven seasons as Andy Reid's offensive coordinator in Philadelphia. He will replace Tony Sparano's spitball offense with a West Coast, pass-first system that will be very different from what the Jets have run in recent years. Mornhinweg's hire will be less impactful than the offensive roster moves the Jets make this offseason. They need better players. If Michael Vick is released by the Eagles, as expected, it will be interesting to see whether he reunites with Mornhinweg in New York. The NY Daily News reported in mid-December that Jets head coach Rex Ryan "loves" Vick.
Rex. He is the defacto director of Football Operations. And, FWIW, that's a smart move. Rex has adapted to the modern NFL, something Schottenheimer, and Sparano never managed to do. We should get a three seconds and out version of offense, that will make Nacho look more like the Rose Bowl guy we drafted...
