All the guys panicking because they think the Jets are hiring another cap guy ala Tannenbaum can relax. He's got personnel experience too. He seems to be a well-rounded candidate. Whether or not he's the right choice won't be apparent for a few years, but not having football player experience is not on the 'con' side. Relax, give him the benefit of the doubt, and let's sit back and enjoy the offseason, shall we?
Im good with Idzick, He used to play WR in college and even coached a bit, To me even if thats his entire resume id still take him over Mr .T
Isiah Thomas played point guard in college and in the pros, even coached a bit and was President of a team before running the Knicks....into the ground. I'm OK with Idzik.
He has had over 20 years experience in the league doing a little bit of everything, He has the cap knowledge like Mr.T only his knowledge runs a little bit deeper, I guess who knows what to think or say anymore
I figured it might, but there are 10 other threads where people are saying the same things about him not having any, and being corrected. For everyone's sanity it might be better to leave this one separate.
This thread...coming from you? You're a huge darksiderhmy: We might be on the right track. Now if only championjets can have a smiley face in his post...
lol I'm a huge darksider but I'm not only negative. I am realistic. You may not agree with some of my points of view, and that's what makes this board so fun. But I am not the type to say 'well, I don't like this guy, these guys suck, that means everything is dark'.
That's the key. We had great drafts in those years, but post 2009 they have sucked my balls. It was time for a new face at the GM position.
Talk about a fluff piece. This is why teams actually interview guys....lol If they went by what their current team posts about their achievements, the open spots would be filled in hours.
Isiah Thomas was an excellent drafter and could find young talent. He shouldn't of been the president of the team off the bat Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
Guess what Woody Johnson hired that guy. You don't think he interviewed him? I bet the PR person who wrote that piece has been fired for misleading him.
