I have seen one mock where we draft Ezekiel Ansah, BYU. After seeing some video of him, I wouldn't hate having him in green and white.

If Glennon, Smith, or even Barkley are there in the second I would take any of them. I don't like any of them really but that would be a steal at that point.

Id rather the Jets wait till 2014 to draft a QB

This year focus on the trenches on both sides of the ball

Of course Mingo would be drafted with the intent of OLB. And while there's some tape of him as a stand up pass rusher, most of the time he played the 7 technique in a 3 point stance. Can he cover NFL TE's, who knows? That said, he looks more like a 4-3 OLB not a 3-4 OLB with a too light Brandon Marshall WR type of build who gets pushed back at the POA against the run and if his first pass rush 'move' doesn't work gets "stoned" in his pass rush. Fast with a good first step but with a gangly Brandon Edwards running style who can't breakdown on a dime, often over running the play. Doesn't use his hands well for a guy with his wingspan and isn't great at setting the edge. Had a decent game vs. Clemson but sucked against Georgia, sucked against A&M and utterly blowed vs 'Bama. I hope this overrated 'speedy' pushover isn't picked at #9 - I'd rather grab the unsexy, NFL-ready solid pick: Chance Warmack.

The big surprise for me on there would be Menelik Watson in the first. Sure, he's an athletic freak, but these draft experts talked themselves into mocking Bruce Campbell in the first round to the Raiders, who made them look silly by drafting him in the 4th.

Also, a little surprised to see Montee Ball drafted first ahead of Eddie Lacy, but it's not crazy.

He is one of my favorite prospects in this draft and I would love him for the Jets. I was very hopeful when we looked to be in the early teens, but in the top ten I think the new management group will look to less of a project and more of a sure thing.

One Rob Rang started throwing around the Montee Ball / Curtis Martin comparison his mock rankings shot up on a few other sites. I like Ball, but still see him as the 4th or 5th back off the board.

Most agree with your assessment of Mingo and its why he is one of the more hated prospects on the board for us at 9.

Also, find you enter key and use it.

agree - even 2015. u never know who will rise out of the free agent class and such.

look what we did in 98 with testaverde.

man it would be great if we got that lucky again.
