4000 yards 60% 20 tds and 15 total turnovers would definately be enough to not force my hand in the draft. That would look really really good and different compared to the last few years.
I get the concerns, but I really do think he can turn it around. We're not talking about a guys who has had a) no success in his career and b) who is 30+. He's still young (something that a lot of people seem to forget). Look at some other QB's in the NFL. Guys like Vinny Testaverde, Alex Smith, Kerry Collins, Drew Brees, Eli Manning etc. etc. These guys all had rough starts to their careers but still turned it around. 3 of these guys ended up going to a SB and two of them won a SB. He's still young and has shown he can play in the NFL. This year was awful, but he had NO weapons, and a pourous OL.
You need to read better or something, all nacho's career all he has ever done is dink and dunk, but you are right he doesn't do that we'll either!
It's u who r clueless. I said he can't dink and dunk less than 50 turnovers in 2 years, not he can't dink and dunk! And I'm clueless? At least I can read, and I'm not a moderator.
Hint, when you're defending a player on the basis that he didn't totally suck then you know your in trouble. I didn't say Sanchez played horribly in the playoffs, overall, I just said he's not the reason the Jets won. To hear you all talk about it he drove the team 99 yards and easily vanquished his foes despite an inept defense giving up 30 points a game. The fact is the Defense and special teams were the big reason teh Jets won the games. But the clue to when you have a bad QB is when he plays a game he didn't really do much in, but didn't really screw up much either it's talked up as being the game of his career.
are you saying he does other than dink and dunk murrell? why dont you try a futile defense of the worst qb in the last 4 years of the nfl.
how many big time throws? ive watched jet games since 1980. look at the percentages of his short throws to long. ive already looked nacho made very few deep passes in the wonderful playoff years! if you watched the games you wouldnt say that bullshit! you know better. as a career he throws intc's down field more than short, but he throws those too. get a clue
It's funny you chose passer rating, generally regarded even by total stat heads as the most flawed conglomerate stat. Additionally the list on Wikipedia isn't correct, never ever ever use wikipedia as a resource tool, it will lead you to bad places. The stats listed there are only for the playoffs and does not include all post season passing ratings...marking incomplete. Bart Starr 106.0 rating
So the 80 yd TD pass to Edwards in the 09 AFCCG was a dink? Maybe it was a dunk? The big pass to Edwards in the 10 AFCWCG was a dink? Maybe you should take your own advise.
You guys are funny http://www.pro-football-reference.c...c4stat=&c4comp=gt&c4val=&order_by=pass_rating It's been updated to include this years stats
Ok you are right he has been known to throw the deep ball. In 09 AFC he passed 30 times, 25 were dinks the other 5 were 15 to 20 yarders. In 10 AFC he threw 33 times and 7 were in the 15 -20 yard range. Wow you got me there. He is almost chad Pennington! Wow what a Qb we have. He is better than Marino, elway, Montana, and fouts! Great call murrell you really know football!
I guess anytime a Qb throws a dink or a dunk and the wr takes it to the house it's considered airing it out? What a laser arm taco has, I'm glad to have learned passing football under a guru such as you!
