 Yeah, the REAL problem is that we didn't rush into a GM and get the first guy we interviewed. That's some shit the old jets would do. Did you ever MAYBE consider that the Jets are taking their time to do things right for once? OMG, we don't have a GM 1 week after the season! DOOM AND GLOOM!!!!! Dig your bunkers now!!!! You people kill me. No patience whatsoever. Here's a suggestion to the people that take this stuff personally. Follow basketball and hockey until next training camp. Then you don't have to worry about taking your anxiety medication and can enjoy your life. Klecko is now 0-2 in the past 2 days at posting relevant things.
take a chill pill, dude. Give the team a chance. It's perfectly reasonable, and in my opinion, entirely commendable for the team to conduct a patient, thorough, and exhaustive GM search.
the longer this takes and the more people interviewed the better off we are. no reason to rush into hiring somebody at all. I really like the fact that they are taking time w/this decision.
there is no reason to rush other than the guys that were originally targeted are now signing with other teams. sure maybe its that the jets didnt want them, but then why did they target them first? and why did they not like them? its not a major issue but it does make you wonder a bit.
When you don't catch the first big wave it makes sense to take your time looking for a good one to go in on.
absolutely, i just have to wonder. why didnt we catch the first big wave? is it the rex must stay factor? is it the salary cap? is it the ownership decision making? is it just that they werent very good? shit i dont know but i do wonder.
Am I upset? A little. Concerned? No. If we're the 32nd team to hire/have a GM then I'll be pissed, or if it prevents us from getting a quality OC I'll be furious, but we're not quite there yet. Because there's no clear-cut perfect fit or best candidate IMO, I don't see this as urgent.
If I was a 38 year old hotshot prospect at GM the last place I'd want to try to make my bones is in a major market in a high pressure situation with a hostile media. Throw in the cap issues and the Sanchez and Revis issues and the Jets look like a cactus patch right now.
if michael jackson was alive and a jets fan, he'd be singing " man in the mirror" at the press conference. problem is rex would be singing with him, instead of the guy who needs to be- woody.hmy:
