Stedman Bailey WR West Virginia, Da'Rick Rodgers WR Tennessee, DeAndre Hopkins WR Clemson, Eric Reid S LSU...

Out of these guys Stedman Bailey and DeAndre Hopkins would be great pick ups. Rodgers can be picked up in the later rounds if need be and Reid has that height that we need to defend against NE and big TE Teams.

    Luke Joeckel - T - Texas A&M

Texas A&M junior left tackle Luke Joeckel has declared for April's NFL Draft.

After a few days of speculation that Joeckel was unsure of his decision, the stud left tackle will begin his pre-draft process and is currently considered by many one of the safest picks in the class. With two excellent seasons of tape at left tackle protecting a pocket passer in Ryan Tannehill and scrambling thrower in Johnny Manziel in the SEC, Joeckel should be fully prepared for whatever he faces in the NFL. Rotoworld.

Very glad as this decision would have had a big effect on us @ #9 if he went back to school. Rumor was that Johnny Football was trying to talk him and Jake Matthews to return (Matthews is going back for Sr year). I am really hoping RT Taylor Lewan (Michigan) falls to us @ 9 - even though he hasnt declared officially yet, but looks to be 80% declaring yes.

I don't know if Rodgers makes it past the 2nd round, his stock has been moving up lately. He might make it to the 3rd, but I think that's about as late as Da'Rick goes.

Cordarrelle Patterson from Tennessee just declared. Has all the tools to be a star/playmaker.

Taylor Lewan returning to Michigan for senior season
    By Tom Fornelli | Blogger
    January 9, 2013 6:33 pm ET

Taylor Lewan made the surprising decision to return to Ann Arbor. (US Presswire)
Michigan got some big news on Wednesday, both literally and figuratively.

That's because 6-foot-8, 309-pound left tackle Taylor Lewan announced that rather than leaving school early to enter the NFL Draft he's going to return to Ann Arbor for his senior season. Lewan was named to the CBSSports.com All-America Second Team this season after serving as the anchor on Michigan's offensive line.

"I am excited to return for my senior season," said Lewan in a release. "I always said I would evaluate things and make the best decision for me, and that's exactly what I did.

"I want to graduate. I want to improve to be an elite left tackle. I want to stand out there with my family on Senior Day. I want to get my 'M' ring. I want to lead some of these young offensive linemen. These are all things I would have been giving up if I left."

Lewan's decision comes as a surprise, as many expected him to make the jump to the NFL.

Lewan has already spent four years in Ann Arbor after redshirting his freshman season, and is projected as a first round pick. NFLDraftScout.com has Lewan rated as the second-best offensive tackle available behind Texas A&M's Luke Joeckel. In our CBSSports.com mock drafts, both Rob Rang and Dane Brugler have Lewan going in the first 11 picks of the draft.

It's a risky proposition to return for another season as Lewan has dealt with his fair share of injuries while at Michigan. That being said it's a decision you have to respect Lewan for making. He obviously wants to finish what he started at Michigan.

He explains it in post #47....I respect his decision, don't agree.

Eric Fisher will be the 2nd best OT

Know there is no way we go OT in round 1 and now its either Warmack or Pass rusher (Jones, Moore, Jordon, Werner) im glad he didn't come out so we didn't draft him Howard is a good right tackle and there are more important holes to fill on this team and now we can get him next year if Howard degresses this season

Didnt see that. I can respect him for that decision. As someone going into his own senior year, I cant wait for everything that I've seen here at my own school. Also, graduating is a huge plus. I just hope he stays healthy, 2014 is STACKED.

Matthews' expressed reason for leaning towards staying was to improve his draft standing. He hasn't made an official announcement and this may give him the nudge he needs to declare.

But yes, I agree... this draft sucks.

*edit* if both Matthews and Lewan are out, this could push Fluker into the first round. Chicago at 20 maybe?

This sucks. I was holding my breath on Joekel because I thought it would screw us out of Lewan. Never thought Lewan was going back to Michigan in 2013.

We're going to have to hope Geno does well at the combine and workouts. We need a QB to go top 10 so enough talent is there at 9.

What do you guys think of taking a guard at 9? As far as positional value it's not ideal, but all of the pass rushers scare me; although I'm just following scouting reports. Gil Brandt thinks he's the best player in the draft, but I understand we desperately need a pass rusher next year.

if we were to draft warmack we could have him for the next 10 yards. thats talent. with brandon moore gone and porky slauson not playing well, i think its a good pick, even at #9
