No matter what, he has to cut down on his stupid turnovers that are not talented related and just bad mechanics and ball security
Bad stats are for losers. Winners usually have good stats. Of course, it's a team sport. Talented players usually have good stats at some realistic point, not rank at the end of the list in about every relevant category for five years straight (if you include next year)...not FIVE years in a row. Of course, stats are not the bottom line, but they do indicate performance. Show me a good QB in this era of football with stats comparable with Sanchez's over a five year stretch. I don't think you can. The more Sanchez is asked to do, the worse he looks...the more he is exposed to be what he basically was all along. The most relevant question you can ask yourself is exactly what it is that you think Sanchez can do well.
He has to show up to all the games. He will be here next year, and at least start half the games. And why not. ( he gives us the best chance to win )
I suspect Mark Sanchez will start for the New York Jets as long as Rex Ryan is the HC and Woody is the Owner. Nothing else matters. Nothing....
Drew Brees 2003 205 356 57.6 2108 11 15 67.5 2-9 as a starter Drew Brees 2004 262 400 65.5 3159 27 7 104.8 11-4 as a starter Nothing short of Brees' 2004 season
Lets see... Woody loves Rex. Rex has stated that Mark Sanchez will start for the New York Jets as long as he is coach. Rex is still coach and will be for the foreseeable future. Kinda follows..
Of course Woody loves Rex. Rex got the team to the AFCCG twice. When you have a 50% chance of making the Superbowl with a terrible QB, you got to give testament to his coaching skills. The press conference made it more apparent that Sanchez is not going to start next year. The fact that they were extremely non-committal about him starting is a huge clue. The whole 'money is no object' stance that they both had should give their intentions away regarding his situation. But hey, Woody is making out in a tree with Rex, so things are going to be terrible. Never mind the fact that we all but cleaned house (as MANY on here wanted).
Woody just might be up in that tree with Michelle and a remote feed for Rex.. Given Rex's history of hirings, and the GM having to accept Rex, that gives Rex too much power to be simply HC. Why not simply make Rex the GM and Head of Football Operations and be done?
LOLOL....Rex doesn't haev too much power. He and Woody both know that if he goes 6-10 or worse next year, he's gone. Plain and simple.
haha, this sums up fans perfectly. They;d rather have a great fantasy stat season and lose in the WC round than put up average #s and play for the right to go to the SB.
hopefully not, but he probably will still be on the roster opening day, because I just can't imagine the Jets being able to trade that absurd contract. However, I think it is highly likely that he is the backup. If the Jets start Mark Sanchez opening day after the way he played this season, I'm not sure what more could be left to say about our franchise.
As long as he earns the right to start there shouldn't be any problems. we'll bring in compeition and he should compete for the job, the only way idiotic fans should have a problem w/ it is if he is handed the job again which will not happen but our fanbase is so bad he could have a great offseason, great camp, great preseason, earn the job and then be booed during intros.
