Tank was bashing the sit out of Rex and the Jets in 2009 and 2010 when we were one game away form the super bowl and he didn't have a leg to stand on just being a douche bag. Now he does and he's loving it, fat piece of shit.
Yea he keeps saying this for some reason and it's totally not true. The New GM will have plenty of control i mean come on gimme a fucking break Franchesa
He's picking the GM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course he's going to have final say on the players. Rex is running the ship!!!!!!!! Hello?!??!?!? This is weird.
Like Franchesa says the only way Rex can be succesful is if he is not picking the players on the team and he has a good offensive coordinator, and i have to say he is def right
Oh please. He's not picking the GM. Woody never said that. He may have input...but he's not picking our GM.
MF'er could BE the next GM but he still wouldn't be able to get any players or coaches to go on his show with him.
That's bad enough. Head coach of the team choosing the man to run the franchise? What planet are we living on? This is not a star player having say in who the coach is. How could the GM ever fire Rex if things don't work out?!?!? This is bizarre!
You honestly think a 2-14 season with Rex at the helm, he won't be fired? I can say things to the media and things behind closed doors.
Good Point I am constantly amazed that people take these things at face value, and can't get the real meaning of what is being said, especially if you're a poster on a forum like this. Rex may survive a non-playoff year in 2013, but the team will have to show a lot of promise and hope for the future. Woody may be mesmerized by Rex but nobody will tolerate three steps backward.
Yeah, this happens because people actually believe what MF'er says, as if he knows something. My favorite MF story is about a caller in early 1997 who asked him if Parcells might be coming to the Jets. This was when MF and Parcells were best buddies (according to MF). Fat Mike tore into the guy like he was ripping the Dog for peeing in his Coke with his famous "You don't know anything, there's no way" etc. Two weeks later MF's best buddy signed with the Jets.
I don't like Mike Francessa and hate his bashing of the Jets. But it's to the point now where if you're honest with yourself, there is no defending Woody and Rex anymore.
