I'm hoping the reporters nail him on this, and also ask who will be responsible for assembling the next coaching staff.
    Other questions that need to be asked;
Is Pettine still in the plans for DC?
    Who is replacing Westhoff?
Along with others, these are important things to know.

How can us fans run anyone out of town since we have zero input into operating the team?

Everyone seems to think Woody has a hand in J&J, but from what I've seen he has only been involved in charitable organizations.
He's more of a trust fund baby then a businessman.

Actually Hess did not care 2 shits about the NYJs he was NOT even at SB3 when his team was playing for the championship. His only care at that time was Hess Oil not the NYJs & until the bell began to toll on him in the 90s when he hired BP & realized that he needed to do something until the bell stopped tolling for him

Was a horrible hire to begin with. Trust me, every single person in south florida, when hearing the news of the Jets hiring Meatball as your OC, was laughing hysterically and completely confused at the same time.

This is what I said back in August,

Has anyone wondered if Mark Sanchez' struggles this season are DIRECTLY attributable to Tony Sparano? What if Sparano is to blame and not Mark?

It's never that simple. There was already a suspicion that Sanchez wasn't good to begin with. Sparano didn't help with his playcalling. The offensive line was inconsistent. The running game was inconsistent. The receivers frequently ran bad routes and dropped passes. The Jets weren't very talented on offense to begin with and then the few guys who were talented got hurt. It was the ultimate shit show, culminated in the butt fumble heard round the world.

Sparano is definitely culpable, but the problems with the Jets are bigger than any individual.

At least the Jets figured it out in 1 year, it took the Phins multiple years to can him.

Yep, I'm just focusing on the QB/OC situation, nothing else.

Sanchez was never as bad as he was this year. Sparano has no idea how to run an offense. He lacks creativity, adaptability... I can only imagine the conversations Mark had with Meatball regarding the offense....

I don't think Mark is as bad as he showed this season.

Why would anyone want 6 to come back? The little amount of talent on offense doesn't excuse all of his boneheaded decisions and not being able to hold on to a football, both which are basic responsibilities of a QB

While I agree that Sanchez isn't as bad as many here make him out to be, I also wonder if mentally he's shot at this point. There's no question that he wasn't the same during the last few games of the season... he was just totally lost at that point. At least early in the year he made some plays and helped win a few games.

I'm not sure Sanchez could possibly be redeemed in New York. He needs a team that will deprogram his bad habits and will teach him how to actually play QB, something the Jets were miserable at doing. The Jets as an organization need fresh ideas / philosophies offensively. Rex's vision just won't cut it.

Tony didn't help but he doesn't get the blame w/ the healthy talent he had to work with this year.

Interesting everyone is getting fired except Rex. I remember Rex saying he brought in Tony becuase he's just like me. Why are they firing all these people without a GM? Aren't personel decisions the GM responsibity?

I am sure a mastermind like sporano will get a job as an OC or HC somewhere else. I think Newark high school has an opening.

Obviously the GM will have to hire new people. That's their job. I'm sure he/she will get together with Rex on it but ultimately it is the GM's choice.
Pettine has been invited for an interview for the DC job with Buffalo. I really hope he doesn't take that job.
As of right now, Westhoff is being replaced by his assistant.
