Makes you wonder how LSU, Georgia, or A&M would be doing against the Irish.

I don't think any of them would be doing better (it's hard to play better than Alabama has tonight,) but I think that any of the 3 would've kicked Notre Dame's teeth in.

Fuck Notre Dame. every team gets breaks but they needed a missed FG by Pitt and the referees to simply refuse to call an obvious TD by Stanford to be here.

The problem ND had was they came in way too fired up and undisciplined. The 1st 2 scoring drives by Bama said it all....facemask penalty, over-pursuing on Bama rushes, awful secondary coverage....it was so out of the ordinary for ND. Credit to the Tide for a great game I mean but the Irish just came in way too out of control and that falls on the head coach here for that...and I love Brian Kelly regardless of the outcome today. Irish didn't come ready to play, they seemed to enjoy just being there and Bama's B+ game(What is scary is I don't even think that's the best Bama had to offer) just took it to them, in particularly in the trenches.

Bama has the experience of this big game....it was just such a huge advantage and coop Saban and company had that really paid dividends early in the game.

Still proud of my boys though....but damn its shameful so many guys like Te'o have to leave on such a bad note like this. I wish the game just had been closer.

......Bama would not even be here had it not been for a major collapse by the Tigers.

Regardless of this outcome, this was a season no Irish fan ever saw come true and we are just so happy to have seen such a great season after years of bleh. Shame we shit the bed on the big stage.

I was just happy they made this game...I didn't think they'd win the game. Nothing is taking this season away from me, this is the best Irish team I ever saw in my 23 years of living.

Thats why the playoffs are very much needed.... So pretender teams who get picked by a computer arent playing for a National Championship unless they deserve to be there

ND didn't look like they belonged in that game. Bama is not invincible. Remember Georgia gave Bama a good challenge and A&M beat them and could probably beat them again.

ND just doesn't have a good a offense. And their defense was overrated based on stats. They have no pass rush and their secondary sits in a predictable zone all day.

ND should have been ranked #5 or lower.

I think there is too much weight placed on record. You can be a mediocre team, catch a few breaks and go undefeated. You can be a great team, ball bounces the wrong way and have a couple of losses.
