The Jets' post-Revis record is a ridiculous standard to apply to all draft day trades. The Falcons are 23-9 since trading up for Julio Jones. For that matter, The 49ers went 188-70 during Jerry Rice's career with the team after they traded up for him.
The Falcons and the 49ers already had the QB who they thought was taking them to the Super Bowl. You can't trade up for anybody else if that guy is not in house already and you shouldn't trade up unless you're getting the last piece anyway.
Im hearing Gamble once again postponed his interview with the Chargers for tommorow........intresting we have the press confrence tommorow????????? The saga continues
Please let it be Gamble or Ross. No more trades for a team that needs LOTS AND LOTS OF HOLES TO FILL.
i have no clue why you guys are acting like this dude trades up constantly. it was only for julio jones, a dude who is a stud
I know, right? Some of you need to step away from the forum, use your mouse, go to google, and do a little research before you freak out about one trade up for a guy they thought would put their offense over the top. Which is turning out to be exactly what they thought the trade up would do for them, it has turned that offense from good to great. Teams that are good can afford to do that type of trading on draft day. Something MT never understood at all, either that or he was off his rocker and thought we were only a couple pieces away from being a Super Bowl team. I doubt it though considering he had not traded up in the first the past couple years but obviously it was to little to late. He fucked us, and bringing in a guy that has had a hand in bringing a lot of great talent to the Falcons shouldn't be a bad thing.
per 1 minute ago Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Falcons director of player personnel Dave Caldwell is scheduled to interview today a second time with the NY Jets for their GM job.
Brian Basset has Woody's plane going back and forth between the regional airport closest to the Falcons facility. flightaware.com/live/flight/EJM685
Caldwell would be a great hire by the Jets. The Jets really need someone with a strong scouting background to improve the talent on this roster.
His offense has been a constant joke, and he never had anything with half semblance of pass rush, but either way, he still didn't win VLT. He is a joke too.
Don't know why i keep thinking that Tebow to Jacksonville will be a major turn off for any GM candidate. Its obvious that Khan wants Tebow, help raise the profile of the team and get bums on seats. If you were a GM candidate and had to choose between having Rex one more year, or the possibility of having Tim Tebow as your franchise QB. What would you go for? Id still prefer Gamble though
