Inc to Braylon Inc to cotchery pass interference penalty on jammer Comp to Keller for 4 FG jets, we had a good return and 20 yards rushing on 5 attempts Short Comp to Keller, he runs for 13 Sancho interception, sets up SD at jet 38 Revis picks off rivers pass, thank god for defense, right mark? Comp to cotchery which was short, but he gets 13 Inc to cotchery Another intc by rivers gives us the ball in the red zone Comp 2 yard pass on 3rd and goal from 2 to Keller, thank god SD defense sold out on run! Defense again not so much Sanchez Comp to cotchery on a short pass 7 yards Greene 53 yard TD run, I guess nacho caused the game winning run? Sanchez kneel Your r right junc, Sancho did win the game It happened on his last play, the kneel, when he didnt butt fumble! What the hell did he do to lead us? You or I could have done what he did in that game! What r u watching? Sorry to offend, but it's right I front of your face!
...actually, you are wrong again. Most fans (this fan mostly) thinks you have to not turn the ball over as much as Mark Sanchez has IN HIS ENTIRE CAREER... to be a good QB.
Didnt Sanchez eat a hotdog one game, and that single act right there caused us to win? Junc your arguments are pitiful if now your defending him on a couple plays a game that any Qb could make! You r saying that simple tasks are what makes him great, do u hear yourself? Wow dude give credit where it is due, and he deserves none in the SD game that's reality!
If rivers and nacho traded teams that day, the jets would have won in a blow out! Rivers is a hell of a lot better than what we have! End of argument, you lose!
ignore all the logoc and hurl insults, it certainly helps to deflect from your incredibly weak arguments.
you have absolutely no idea what you are watching. How come w/ a vastly superior team talent wise in a weaker division Rivers hasn't been able to win as many 4 playoff games? he has 3 despite playing much longer than Mark and one of those wins came when his backup led SD to the GW TD in their only div rd win w/ Rivers.
Weak arguments? I've showed u proof that nacho sucks and he was carried, where is your defense? I didn't hurl insults. I just made factual statements about him, and you say I'm not watching the games lose enough. I gave u a play by play and even followed him to the bench, he then ate a hotdog to help the team. That's about all he has done. Show us where he won the SD game, you said he played better there than in Cinncinati, so back it up!
You don't carry a QB in the playoffs period. You cannot beat the Patriots with your QB playing poorly. There are three QBS in this league that can carry a team AR, TB, PM thats it three every other QB needs a running game and a decent defense. Did watch the Colts Bears super-bowl I am not sure Manning threw a pass over 10 yards. Have you seen the Patriots offense lately? Does Brady throw the ball over five yards? Sanchez played well in the playoffs and was an integral part in their victories. He was a first and second year QB even more impressive. What is worrisome is why he did not could not or actually regressed this past year. When they do that they either never recover or not given another chance. QBs that had good second acts Steve Young Jim Plunkett Randall Cunningham Vinny T Rich Gannon Trent Dilfer- Was a lot better than given credit for Brad Johnson- Again a decent QB Drew Brees Qbs that rebounded after sucking with original teams Troy Aikman Terry Bradshaw
you have shown absolutely nothing. Giving a play by play is not showing me something. Check my long post about the SD game, that shows you something. Post #138 in this thread
aaaahhh! thanks, my bad! shows why I think Sanchez sucks. I miss the pretty obvious. I would beg to differ that Troy Aikman was a bad QB initially. He was on a bad team. Unlike Sanchez who sucked initially while on a really good team and now sucks epically that he is on a not as good team.
If you honestly watched every Jets game this year and still don't realize that Sanchez is awful and probably the worst tenured starting quarterback in the league, then YOU "have no idea" what YOU are watching.
Dallas was bad for ONE year, 1989. 1991 there was much debate as to who should be the Cowboys starting QB going forward. Steve Buerlein was 4-0 in the reg season then led Dallas to a playoff win at Chicago so Troy didn't have the greatest start to a career but he had a coach who believed in him. through 3 years Aikman threw 31 TDs and 46 INTs. I'm not saying mark will ever be half the QB Aikman was but the point is you don't give up on young QBs too soon. He was awful this year, as bad as I have seen in a long time but again he had NO HELP. name me the QB that would succeed w/ Kerley, Schilens, Gates, Cumberland, Reuland as his main weapons this year? I feel bad for people that follow this game as closely as they do and still don't kno what they are watching.
Let me clarify for you Qbs that sucked but stayed with original team and became very good. Another second act QB would have been Brett Favre
Actually JJ didn't believe in Aikman. He wanted Steve Walsh to beat him out in 89 and then in the 91 season when Aikman was healthy again after his injury JJ stuck with Beurlein until the Divisional round when they were losing big
Junc you are spinning to defend him, in every direction. In the glorious SD game that you brought up, any Qb in the NFL could have played his minimized role and put better stats, which would prove that stats do define the importance of said Qb. Show me some of his acts again, because his contribution was minimal. He sure doesn't contribute like a sure fire pro! If stats mean nothing and his contribution can be minuscule then Tebow would be a much better leader. Just how does a rookie lead a team anyway? How should a 4th year NFL Qb lead? Not nacho then, not nacho now! Tebow could have made the plays nacho did in your version of his best game
Why is it so hard for you people to understand that you CANNOT be successful with the garbage he had on the field with him. You simply CANNOT. Brady, Manning, Rodgers and Brees couldn't be successful throwing to Gates, Schilens, Cumberland, Reuland, Gilyard, Hill. Sure Sanchez looked bad this year and REALLY bad at times during the year. But it is literally IMPOSSIBLE to have a good or even decent year with the guys he had on the field with him. Add in a pourous offensive line, how in the world could he have been successful? In fact, since you guys are all a bunch of geniuses, please explain to us how Sanchez could be successful with all these challenges?
people like me are harder to convince since I don't think he was worth a shit even when we were lucking our way into the playoffs and back to back AFCCG. The only thing I've seen consistently from Sanchez, is mediocrity. And if being average and needing above average talent around him is what it takes for him to be successful, I would prefer to start looking elsewhere. I am a Jets fan, and I am greedy, I want my QB to be great,
