This board has definitely shown its true colors over the past season and a half. It was a great place until shit hit the fan toward the end of 2011 and all of the trolls and negative SOJFs took over.

The argument that Sanchez was a better option than either Tebow or McElroy holds water as a comparison of talent only. The fact of the matter is that Sanchez got to a point where he needed to clear his head. It wasn't doing him or the team any good for him to be out there further destroying his confidence when there were two healthy QBs on the bench behind him. The real disservice was done to Sanchez, not Tebow.

There were other games when Mark had time to throw, and he played poorly.
I think this adminastraition is what ruined him. He is our alltime playoff QB overall. If Woody would fire Rex, and bring in a coach that could fix Mark I would be all for it. We need some quiet, stability, and some talent on the O side. That might bring Mark back to us. But with Rex here, that's a pipe dream

Well written and said. However, none of it changes a simple fact - our head coach is a jackass.

Thank you for proving exactly what JWWS was talking about.

If you have any reading comprehension skills, I suggest you go out and buy and read Rex Ryan's book. If you haven't read it then you know nothing about the man.

His book is basically an autobiography about why he loves to coach and has the utmost confidence in himself and his abilities, just shy of being cocky. Rex is our HC and even with all the antics and sideshow BS, he's the best coach this team has had in a long time.

I disagree, this new expectation that we should be making deep playoff runs is ridiculous

Answer me this, how many playoff wins do the Colts have since they beat us in 09? How many playoff wins do the Steelers have since they beat us? How about the Vikings after they lost to the Saints in the championship? Or how long did it take the Giants and Patriots to win a other playoff game after Super Bowl 42?

The fact is, once when you peak, it takes YEARS to just win another playoff game. These blind fans dont realize we peaked in 2010. That was our window, and if you dont take advantage then your window will close after you lose that game, even if you have an "elite" qb, there are no exceptions.

Oh and I could add more examples, how about the Packers after they lost to the Giants in 07? Bears in 2010? list goes on and on....Cardinals 08? Eagles 08? list just keeps going, you delusional fans needa do research. All these teams took a minimum of 3 seasons to win another playoff game and many are still waiting.

Wow, this says it all. Very telling. I actually try to make my posts as sensible as possible ( I fail sometimes) but I strive to, at the very least. Passionate and outrageous are two different things. Try not to adhere to the typical football fan stereotype, because that stereotype does not typically entail descriptions like intelligent and thoughtful.

That may be true, but the tatoo says nothing - nada - zippo about who played QB this year and explained nothing we did not already know about why Sanchez remained the starter. Sanchez started because of past performance, the financial stake the team has in him, the lack of offensive talent on offense, and the complete lack of a viable alternative on the roster.

If the Jets FO wants to fire him for off the field incidents from the foot fetish, to the finger, to the cursing, to the tatoo, then so be it. I would understand that. But to tie the tatoo to the decision to play Sanchez is a joke and, considering the source, typical Jets media BS and fan ignorance in blaming everything that happened this season on one player.

That's just stupid. The entire NFL saw Tebow play and start plenty of games. That is why he is no longer in Denver and about to be banished from the Jets. As for McElroy, he won one of the worst offensive football games I have ever seen with 27 yards passing in almost a half where the biggest play was a 15 yard personal foul. I could have thrown the TD pass he threw. He showed a complete lack of pocket awareness in his only start. And we have seen in preseason that his arm is about as it comes in the NFL. The last thing we need is 4-5 more years of "noodle arm" stuff with this team.

How can you be so sure? Did anonymous sources tell you that, or you know it first hand?

It begs the question then, why didn't Rex have a capable backup on the roster? Tannenbaum isn't out there coaching, so why didn't Rex tell him to have a viable alternative backing up Sanchez in case something goes wrong? Could it be that Rex has no clue about offensive talent? Then that begs another question, if Rex has no clue about offense and Tannenbaum doesn't either, then why would anyone be surprised at how miserable we are on that side of the ball?

We need a head coach who can recognize problem areas on both sides of the ball. That head coach must work in conjunction with the GM to address the needs of this team. With the most important position on the team being QB, Rex has Mark Sanchez start, Tebow backing up, and McElroy as third string. Good job at planning, Rex.

I don't think McElroy is the answer. I didn't say Tebow was the answer. The reason Tebow is not in Denver, is because Peyton Manning landed there. You know the QB who laughed when asked about coming here.
Tebow couldn't have been any worse than Mark was this year. As long we have Rex as coach, and his input in players we will go nowhere. We will be an all defense team with a shit offense.
I think when we stabilize our coaching, and offense situation then we can find a QB in the draft.

The tattoo only shows bad judgement as a leader of an organization that has to be impartial and non bias. He very may well be but that is not the perception he is giving off.

If your boss at work had a tattoo of a visage of a fellow employee you are competing for a job with or are taking orders from, it would be considered poor form.
Any human resources dept in the world would tell you that.

So yes the tattoo might have had nothing to do with what happens on the field as far as his decisions but it brings into question Rex's leadership skills off the field .

    Quoted for the motherfucking truth.

Nowadays, the 'tards have taken over and truly the inmates run the asylum here. This thread is a perfect example. The OP calls out the retards, but since they outnumber the rational and knowledgeable posters like 9:1, they just smother all the valid points with their bullshit.

The text on the the site banner is a monument of the past.
