Whether you think Tebow sucks or not, he was a starter on a playoff team last year. The fact he NEVER got a shot to play in the real games shows me that Rex was NOT going to take any chance that Tebow would outperform Sanchez (It would not have taken much). When Tebow actually was in a game, they ran vanilla shit plays that looked like they were designed to fail. I am not a Tebow fan at all, but the way things were handled this year stink up the joint. And this latest development will get the conspiracy theorists going big time, right or wrong. It's that lack of professionalism that will make Rex's tour as HC of the jets the only one he'll ever have. The eyes of the rest of the league are on him, and most owners have already crossed him off their list of future HC's.

At first I was pissed that Rex was kept. Then I was excited when Woody told him to shut his trap thinking the new G.M. may just have the balls to say "No, unless I can fire Rex." and we'd be rid of him. Now after today's releases I'm back to feeling like "Shit, one more year of garbage.". In the end, who the hell knows, but I'm pretty sure Woody will make this a 2012 Bears situation.
It's certainly not help Woody's attempts to sell GM candidates on keeping rex around. It'll really be up to Woody to decide if the GM he really wants is more important than getting someone who will work with Rex.
