Here is what a NON ANONYMOUS player thinks, who practiced against him every day. Tim Tebow could have helped win more games for Jets, says Mike DeVito Now that the Jets' season is over and the postmortem is being written, much of it still revolves around the quarterbacks. Speaking today on WFAN, defensive lineman Mike DeVito admitted feeling sorry for Tim Tebow and that Mark Sanchez needs to re-find his confidence. "I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel bad for Tim (Tebow) and how it went down," DeVito said on the radio station. Tebow was a role player for the Jets this season and twice was passed over for the starting job in the last two weeks of the season. He concluded the year with just one snap in the final two games. But if he could have played more, it could have led to more wins in DeVito's opinion. "Guys just want to rally behind him," he said. "I think if you put Tim in there, we win games. I really believe that." While it seems as if Tebow is unlikely to return, Sanchez spoke Monday as if he would be with the Jets next season -- which DeVito thinks would not be a bad idea. But DeVito does think that Sanchez can return to the caliber of quarterback he was previously if he "gets his confidence back" and re-develops his rapport with the receivers. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2013/01/tim_tebow_could_have_helped_wi.html
I could swear that it was only Tebots who thought this!? I mean I'm pretty sure we've been lambasted for suggesting anything like this.
It would of been nice to see him get in the EZ against the Patriots back in Foxboro. Some occasions it would of worked out. Not as the starting QB though.
from watching him run into the line for 2 yards every time he touched the ball. Obviously it's an exaggeration but the point is valid- he sucked for us.
Only NYjunc (who I personally have long suspected of actually being Mark Sanchez) is the only one posting from T-hater nation? really.................. tumbleweed....
Kind of a non story, which is why I didn't respond. I know ANY kind words are worn on the sleeve of Tebowners, but sheesh. I also recall NFL players voting him the most overrated. What, though we'd see the light and jump on the Timmy Tryhard bandwagon? Congrats... you found another guy on the team who liked Tebow and wasn't afraid to admit it. Still not sure HOW all those three and outs, dirt missiles, and inability to do a damn thing out there is supposed to save some jobs though.... or won more games for the Jets. But hey, DeVito likes him. Things are looking up in Tebow land!!! So when will he be a starter?
I don't hate Tebow at all, I actually like him and thought he'd help us this year in a variety of roles. I was wrong.
I don't think we would had won more games as Tebow as the starter. I do believe we could had won more games in the wildcat. No I'm not just talking about running up the gut.
The Jets would be in the playoffs this weekend if Rex Ryan had named Tebow the starter after the bye week.
Join Date: Mar 2012 yes, definitely Tebow won the superbowl each of his two years with Denver after all
thats pretty much my thought on this section at this point too. theres really not much more to say. I cant wait for the holy clown car to pull up and take these fucknuts away from here. Ive had about enough of the trashing of our team and fan base because it refused to play teabag
