He will SOOOOOOO be a cancer if he is on the roster next year. Even if he doesnt act like a T.O. or Holmes or any other diva loud mouth asshole he will still be a cancer just being there.
I have said the same thing a few times already. Get Matt Moore, keep Mcelroy and draft a 3rd rd guy. Yes the 4th is gone thanks to cocksucker Tannenshitbag. I dont think the 1st or 2nd rd picks can be used on a QB. I think they need to be on the O-line or other parts of the offense.

Rex cannot pick talent. ESPECIALLY offensive talent. We need a football GM for that. We need someone at OC (Norv or whoever) that doesnt need any input or help from Rex. Sporano if a fucking moron. Norv is Einstein compared to Sporano.

Holmgren overrated at this point in his career, he was hired to fix the Browns, and the Browns just fired their GM and coach that Holmgren himself wanted there if I am not mistaken.

I've seen several people now say that Sanchez will "be a cancer" if he's on the roster next year. Can someone PLEASE explain to me exactly what that means and why you all think Sanchez will "be a cancer"?

Say whatever you want about Sanchez, he's obviously awful, but I've never heard anything about him being a bad team mate or a douchebag or anything. And please don't equate sucking to being a cancer.

I don't see Sanchez being a cancer in the lockerroom. If anything, from what I've read, Mark doesn't lead well - isn't that part of the rap on him, that he's been coddled, and isn't a leader? That type of personality doesn't suddenly morph into the type of person to become a cancer. I think that's the least of our worries....

OK, back to your regularly scheduled coach debate...

Sanchez may not be a cancer however he will be a distraction to this team next year. He was front and center in the Tebow bs this year and it was plastered all over the national media because of his struggles on the field. If the Jets were ever crazy enough to let Sanchez play next year the second he messes up then the distractions begin again (and that would be Game 1). He's too polarizing a figure now like it or not. Not a bad guy but draws to much attention his way for the wrong reasons and the Jets need to get away from that next year and start focusing on the team and winning games.

Cancer might be a strong word I guess. But with what needs to be new life all around breathed into this organization Sanchez will be a shining example of failure. He will bog the whole thing down IMHO. Not by being a douche bag or undermining anything on purpose. Just by being a figurehead of the team's failure, shitty play, piss poor coaching ect.

I actually believe Sanchez could get back to his better playing self ie: 2010 playoff run. Even improve on that play slightly and maybe be a starter. Especially if he were coached by a real QB coach.....but NOT with the Jets.

You can very well relate sucking to being a cancer. Sorry, I wasn't one of the people who made the analogy, but it makes sense here. It's not the "bad teammate" issue. It's the fact that he's done as a QB in NY. Richard Todd also led the Jets to several playoff appearances and an AFC title game. He was supposed to be the fair haired boy.

Holy shit, when things went south with Todd, they were done. If you lived it, Sanchez is the second coming. It's over. The situations are eerily similar. He's psychologically done. The fans will never accept him again. The team, who may not vocalize it, know he's done. It's the Richard Todd point of no return. His presence will only hurt the team from here on out, hence the cancer label. He needs to be removed so the team can move on.
