You guys drive me nuts. You don't build around him. You build without him. There is no benefit to having him on the team. This cap hit argument is ridiculous.

I guarantee there's not a single player on the team who wants to see him step on the field and "lead" them ... which, is a joke in itself. The guy has very limited skills and physical attributes, zero football intelligence, and most importantly of all ... zero leadership skills. So what do you want to do with him ... keep him around to hold a clipboard? Really? REALLY??

    Come on man.

Everyone knows the situation sucks, but it is what it is so you bite the bullet and deal with it. Did you ever play poker? You don't keep calling with a losing hand just because you already called the last three times. If you can't win, then you can't win ... you don't stay in, hoping against hope. You accept it, take your losses and get the fuck out. That's what a good businessman does ... and I still think Woody is that, if nothing else. I'd bet my life Sanchez is thankfully gone on June 1st. If he isn't, we need a new owner.

By now you realize we can't win with this guy, right??
The sooner Sanchez is out of here, the sooner we start moving in the right direction.

Sanchez being a back-up or gone will make no difference. I actually think he will have a decent length career as a back-up. Keep him spend the money someplace else cut him or sign him as a back-up after next season.

The Jets need the money to improve this team.

Sign him as a backup?? Have you watched him play? Why on Earth would you, or anyone else, ever want him to take a snap for your football team?

The whole idea by stating this would be to motivate him into wanting his contract voided or redone to get the hell out of NY.

If you tell him he will be nothing more than a gimic and ST player he will want out worse than we want him out.

If he thinks he still has a shot to start, he will hang around and suck the CAP dry. A motivated player who want to start somewhere will take a pay cut.

NO SHOT TO START! Take a pay cut or learn to punt block!

The Jets have big cap issues to deal with in 2013 as it is. It costs $4.3 million more to cut him than it does to just keep him as a backup QB. I don't think it makes much sense to cut him when they're already dealing with big cap issues. If they can find a trade partner to absorb the hit then that's a good way to get rid of him, but I highly doubt they will be able to find a trade partner willing to do that unless you package someone of value in the deal. All I'm saying is it is definitely not a no brainer that he's cut. I'm not saying that's not a possibility.

No one is arguing that Sanchez is good - take a deep breath and relax.

Sanchez is a cancer. If he has any affiliation with the Jets next year, his cancer will spread. No price is too high to pay to get rid of him, no matter what.

He is a cancer because of how he has performed, how he has been coddled, and how he has responded to that treatment.

There is no more clear way to send a message to every player on the Jets that there is no accountability for playing like shit then bringing back Mark Sanchez. He is mentally weak and uninspiring. Just look at how the rest of the team responded after he was pulled at halftime in the Arizona game. The sense of relief and energy on the rest of the team was palpable as they were finally relieved of the burden of this loser. Bringing him back would be a clear signal to the players, coaches, and fans that the Jets didn't learn their lesson this year and that they just don't get it.

Have you ever played sports before?

When they put a new PG on the court because the other is struggling, you don't rally because you are thinking - "hell yeah man this guy is better", you respond because it is a wakeup call to everyone. In some sense you feel bad that you weren't able to succeed, and it cost a player some time... a sense of responsibility. Likewise, now the eye is on you, perform or be pulled.

You think the OL was thinking, "McElroy is on the field! This is our guy!"? You'd be surprised to find that players don't likely share your sentiment of hate.

if we packaged revis and suckchise together for skelton and fitzgerald, do you think Arizona would bite on that deal? of course, suckchise would have to restructure since kolb is still there.

    This isn't Madden 2013.

The cardinals just fired their coach/GM in what looks to be like the son of the owner taking charge of the franchise.

Now you want the owner's son to trade for a garbage QB AND give up a top 3 receiver?

You are proving my point. The team didn't respond because they were thinking, "Mcelroy is our guy!". The team responded because they were thinking, "Thank God dear lord that for the first time in 4 years we aren't being saddled with the worst QB in football by every metric". You are delusional if you think that after Sanchez was pulled for being the worst QB in football that somehow they were worried about their own jobs. Then again, according to you, if you think Sanchez sucks you are just a racist.

Open your eyes man. Sanchez is dog shit, it has nothing to do with racism or hate, he just sucks.

It doesn't matter if sanchez is the worst football player in the history of the league ... we still save over 4 million against the cap by keeping him. He doesn't have to play.

The players understand it's a business.
