"Next in Line" is what alpha dog's hate the most. He has an opportunity to come in and turn around a 6-10 season to a playoff contender his first year. The Jets aren't that far away. His wife is from Baltimore, and NY is 3-4 hours away. Also, how long is next in line?
Charlie Wies is a great playcalling OC and Crennel is a good DC. They are just not great HC's for whatever reason. Scott Pioli knows talent. Daniels is back and a good play caller for the pats. He was not a bad HC. He just was not ready and was wrong with tebow.
next in line as he helped build what they have and will soon be "the man", why come to New York where if things dont work out fast he gets canned and then what off to where. Thats a huge risk Any GM should know if they dont turn things around here like tomorrow then the fans, media and Woody are going to come for their head thats why no one wants this job. A rebuilding effort takes 3-5 years sometimes longer depending on the talent thats available when they arrive and the resources available to them like cap room, draft picks and assets
All good at what they do but none of them are leaders of men which is the #1 quality in a HC. A HC is suppose to get the best out of his team thats what makes him great. Harbaugh, Belishit, Pagano/Arians, hell Philbin, McCarthy and even Carroll all get the best out of their players and teams OC's and DC's should call plays, HC's should lead the team in whatever facet they need to be successful. I think we sometimes forget that just because someone is a good play caller doesn't mean they're going to be a great HC
I think this is a subjective point of view - things are at that point right now so it seems like we want someone out the door immediately. And of course there are people that are that way. But generally the fans give it a couple of years before they really start to rachet up the pressure, and truth be told the real pressure with Rex didn't start until this year. I also don't think it takes 3-5 years to rebuild anymore. Some smart drafting, smart FA signings, and smart releases can turn a team around fairly quickly - even if it's a complete rebuild. Baseball, with farm systems and trades for prospects, truly take a few years to rebuild. But football is much quicker if you have the right front office in place.

Football is so much centered around having a QB to lead you though and thats something we lack and will continue to until there's a legit college QB who can come in and help Mike Glennon, sorry not gonna help Tyler Bray, great size and tools but needs polishing Geno Smith, good QB but needs the right system etc....so many question marks around this class and never any good QB's in Free Agency
IMO you skip QB this year. Focus on putting the pieces together so that whoever the next QB is can walk into a good situation from day 1.
Please tell me what you see in Bray an not in Glennon? I would truly like to know... Have you even watched Glennon play...? Glennon is bigger, has a better arm, is a hell of a lot more accurate and has a better head on his shoulders.
I feel like Bray's upside is bigger and with proper coaching he'll be a stud. Glennon idk I'm just not blown away by him but maybe thats a good thing
So here's a challenge. Go find the teams that you think managed to turn it around quickly and line them up. Then figure out why they did that. The huge turnaround this year is the Colts, and they did that because?
Minnesota. I don't recall them adding anyone spectacular in the drafts. The only reason they're doing well is because Adrian Petereson is gashing defenses for like 200 yards a game. I remember last year they were bad.

I strongly disagree that Bray has more upside. Glennon has the best arm in the class and has a lot better accuracy. I also question Bray's intangibles... If you put Glennon on a team like USC or WVU or Baylor or any team with quality receivers and he is the unquestioned best QB in this class.
