it was close most of the 2nd half. it was a 6 pt game by the first TV timeout, 4 w/ 11 mins left, 4 w/ under 8 left, 8 w/ 1:21 to play before UT ended on a 12-2 run in the final 1:20 Texas stinks so losing by a point is a bad loss but the final score was a bit deceiving.
UNC was still down double digits for much of the game and UNC didn't have the lead once (40 seconds in, Texas went up 4-0 and UNC never got closer) so it qualifies as a blowout in my book. I watched a lot of it, too, looked decisive. No top team should lose to Texas because Texas really doesn't have a point guard.
Carolina is not a top 10 team and now will not be a ranked team. It was a poor performance, I never felt like the heels were going to win but it wasn't nearly as bad as the final score.
So it is unnacceptable for your team to be unranked, but I am supposed to sit back and be content with my team?
Wait ...so are you calling what happened with Lance Thomas not cheating? Or is not cheating only because he and Duke got away with it? Forgot all about the Corey Maggette getting improper benefits too?
I didn't say it was unacceptable. Maybe a younger version of myself would have gone nuts but what can I do? they are young and stink right now but they will get better.
SJU was crusing against UNC-Ashveville, at home. They completely collapsed the last 10 minutes are about to lose. This is a game that I would call a BAD loss. It's actually worse than bad, it's like bad bad bad x10. They are done now until Jan 2 @ Nova. Doesn't look too good this season for the Johnnies. Very disappointing.
Nope especially since the school had nothing to do with it unlike the just breathe and you'll pass classes at UNC.
And Texas had nothing to do with their kid getting screwed by the NCAA, nor did St John's, Indiana or UCLA yet they were all punished. Just because Duke had nothing to do with it again doesn't change the fact that rules were violated and they got away with it a 2nd time.
I realize you aren't a real duke fan and only show up when they win but do you remember the big report about the sociology degress they handed out at duke? probably not since you are a bandwagoner but look it up.
Against Temple, that was one of the most lethargic games I've ever seen Syracuse play in recent memory. Good win for Temple, slapping the shit out of Cuse. Think they can just walk into MSG and have the home crowd roaring. What a joke.
Really that's the best you can come up with? A couple of players pick sociology as their major and somehow it's a puff major? Even if it's true at least they do it legally rather than outright cheat Maybe you need a UNC tutor to come up with something better and learn how to type correctly as well. http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/101227/ http://www.dukebasketballreport.com/forums/showthread.php?17557-Sociology-Major Yes, I'm a bandwagon fan since I don't spend all day here talking about the team. I do have a life out this forum you know.
I love when people use the "life" excuse, how come whenever duke is playing well you have time to post and when they suck you have a life? I find that interesting and knowing how you think and post I have a hard time believing you have much of a life. No one in basketball has been implicated.
Found this on a 'Nova board: "Phil Grosz the long time editor of Rival's Penn State Blue White Illustrated was among the first to report that the University of Maryland and rutgers would be invited to join the Big Ten. Grosz is now reporting that following the conclusion of the current Bowl Season the the University of North Carolina and Georgia Tech University will also join the Big Ten. The reason for the movement from the ACC to the Big Ten is all about money. Grosz reports that for the period of 2013 through 2019 UNC would receive $90M more from the Big Ten than it would receive from the ACC. Grosz also indicates that UVA wants into the Big Ten."
25 hours till tip off in Chapel Hill!!!! Birch has already played extremely well in helping us beat UTEP, Northern Iowa and a pretty good Canisius team that should comepete for the MAAC. We still are without Moser but if UNLV can win this game without Moser I can't even begin to think how good we will be with Moser, Birch and Bennett (who is looking like a 1st team All American) on the floor at the same time.
Not so much basketball related but I guess in a way it could be as it may help the BE basketball schools but apparently Boise State will not be leaving the MWC for the Big East http://espn.go.com/college-sports/s...-staying-mountain-west-conference-sources-say Update... it's official. Boise State to remain in the MWC http://www.themwc.com/genrel/123112aab.html
