Sparano needs to be fired for his complete inability to figure out how to use Tebow to our advantage. /sparano
Schotty had only been his dad's QB-coach before he got the OC gig in NY. I don't know if that's enough to make him "up and coming". Anyway, what I really want someone know how to run an offense under the new QB-friendly rules. The league has changed and Jets need an OC that belongs in this new era. It doesn't have to be a pass happy coach like McDaniels, but I hope that it at least isn't a coach that already has failed with Philip Rivers.
they need to CREATE an up and coming oc, those that are already up and coming are looking toward head coaching jobs.
San Diego's GM was probably one of the few worse than Tanny, and Norv as a HC was lousy at best, when he is forced to just focus on offense he is a genius, that is the main reason why he keeps on getting so many different chances as a HC even though he was terrible
I still think Sanchez is apart of the team's plans, at least until his contract is up after next year....which is why they might bring in an ex USC guy in Hue Jackson who worked with one of Sanchez's buddies in Palmer who has seen a night and day from when with Jackson in 2011(Good numbers, esp given the circumstance he was in) to awful numbers this year. I think one of the points of emphasis will be that Sanchez will have to be figured into whatever incoming OC is interviewing....even though the Jets may draft themselves a project QB in the draft in an effort to have someone waiting in the wings.
I'm all for the firing.....however I do feel bad for him.... Seems like a nice guy, but was overwhelmed. Assistant coaches in the NFL have it horrible. Long hours, shitty pay and constant moving the family.
Sparano never enticed me, my celebration of the Schotty firing was short lived the moment I saw we were bringing in Sparano
I truly believe Sanchez has played his last game as a Jet. There's just no way I can see Woody Johnson, the man who is in the media business, starting the most hated QB in the NFL for the NY Jets in 2013. Honestly, I would take the cap hit and cut him if it came to it... I would try and trade him first obviously or negotiate something with Sanchez to where we would cut ties, owe him less money and he moves on elsewhere with his career- a sort of mutual agreement.
Please God No. Cameron had two of the most explosive weapons in the league in Torrey Smith and Ray Rice and couldn't figure out how to get them the ball. He just got shit canned for a reason.
who exactly is this coming from? we are hearing that the gm will be fired, are we hearing that sparano will be fired from the gm or the same guy who says the gm will be fired? there will be lots and lots of rumors the next few weeks.
